After the shock wore off of seeing my grandfather sitting on my couch the damn burst. I immediately started bawling my eyes out.

I hadn’t seen him since we had moved. And my grandfather and I were very close. I had hoped he would come with us. I had begged him to come. But he was an elder in my home pack. And elders were too important. He was right up there with the alpha and beta of our pack.

There weren’t many elders left in the world… which made him all that much more important. An elder wasn’t just a werewolf that was getting up there in age.
