Josie POV

“How do you feel?” I ask Sarah while dropping off some paperwork the next morning. Alpha Lucas was coming for early afternoon, so we had time to get a few things done. Sighing, Sarah replies, “I feel fine. Like better than fine. I feel like I should be up and moving but Jenna says I need a couple more weeks.”.

Giving Sarah a look of pity, “I feel for you. I am not sure I would handle it as well as you have been,” I reply. “Truth is I am not handling it well at all. I have been ripping Jack’s head off every chance I get. I would not be surprised if he asks the Moon Goddess for a new mate,” Sarah says as tears fill her eyes.

I move over and wrap my arms around her shoulders, “Do not be silly. Jack understands that you are simply ready to be off bedrest. He loves you, silly woman,” I say to her. She smiles at me wiping away her tears. “I know but I feel terrible for how I have been treating him,” she replies.

I’m sure you would like to finish this story in order to move on but please don’t rush it just to finish! We become so invested in the story just like the author. There is nothing worse when reading this type book than to have the chapters abruptly end and someone tie up the story w/ an epilogue!

I know, Daniel is very iffy right now..hmmm, are they controlling him through drugs or something? Could Jenna’s father still be alive, or the Rogue King? Eric? So much information, so confused…but, loving it!!

    Daniel POV I was never so scared as I had been when I had been tortured. I knew I was not long for this world when they punctured my lung. When I saw Miranda, I was blown away.     Lucas POV I have been sitting by Daniel’s bed since they finished operating on him. I cannot bear to look at my mate without rage taking over my mind. Seeing the abuse Daniel withstood breaks me. I do not know how he survived but I will be forever grateful he had the strength to do so. I watch the consistent blip on the machine indicating he is alive.
