Serena’s POV

"Wait," the leader called. Taking steps towards us, his torch danced, it's flames travelling before him. He raised my chin again, looking deep into my eyes. "What a fair lady we have here," he said, smiling and tilting his head towards me. His breath reeked of stale and decay.

"Well, well, well," another sneered as I moved my head backwards to avoid the oozing smell coming from the firsts mouth. His voiced was laced with malice as he spoke. "Looks like we've got ourselves a little escape artist," he joked, laughing at the top of his voice. The other guards trembled as he made the joke, for at that point they must have recognized fully that I was the seer.

My eyes flashed in defiance, but the guard's gaze lingered, his eyes filled with lust. "You're a feisty one, aren't you?" the first mumbled as he leaned in, his voice taking a menacing tone. "I like that."
