I was overjoyed when the meeting had ended. Titus looked awful, and I knew he was worried about telling me that the council had put him under scrutiny, all because of his relationship with Crystal.

“Baby, how did you get here so quickly?” he asked, looking down at me with a confused look on his handsome face.

“Fenrir opened a portal, and so we came here. But he has gone now, so it looks like I will have to come back with you and Marcus.” I declared bashfully as I fidgeted with my fingers.
