Zero POV

I step out of Justin's place, the steel door clicking shut behind me. I grab my gun from the shelf, slide the clip back in, and tuck it into my waistband. My bike waits in the shadows.

As I swing my leg over and rev it to life, Justin's last words loop in my mind, over and over, like a broken record I can't shut off.

"A similar mask was being auctioned in the black market, but not as advanced."

Not as advanced. That means someone took a basic piece of tech and turned it into a weapon. They customized it.

It's clear that whoever's behind this isn't some street thug.

They're smart, with resources.

You would need a lot of money to get someone with skills to mod it into something that jams signals.

My grip tightens on the handlebars as I peel out into the crowded streets.

My mind is filled with countless questions.

Who could pull this off? Someone from the Luca family, like Justin said? Or deeper, someone in the headquarters playing both sides?

The accident wasn't random,

Mason POV Distant whispers pull me from the darkness. They sound soft and muffled, like voices underwater. My head throbs, like someone is using a hammer to pound my skull. I wince, forcing my eyelids open. At first, everything is blurry. I blink severally before my vision clears. Rough walls stare back at me. They are cracked and the plaster is peeling in strips. A single bulb hangs from the ceiling on a frayed wire, casting weak yellow light over a dirt floor scattered with old crates and a thin mattress where I'm lying. The air smells musty, like wet earth.Where the hell am I? That's the first thing that comes to mind.I shift, trying to sit up, but pain shoots through my spine, like a sharp knife carving through. My mind races, grasping for memories. The engagement party— Hera's face lighting up as I slipped the ring on her finger, laughter echoing in the room. Then Hera and I left the resort, driving back late at night.Then... headlights blinding us from ahead as two bl

Zero povI reach Justin’s place in no time.He lives in one of the most crowded neighbourhoods, perfect for taking cover as he indulges himself in computers. The house has no windows and no car parked outside, just a steel door with a small camera eye staring down at me. I press the bell. A second later a flat machine voice speaks from a hidden speaker.“Disarm.”I pull the gun from my waist, pop the clip, and set both pieces on the little shelf that slides out from the wall. The door clicks open on its own and I step inside.Justin’s room is a cave of screens. Three walls are covered in monitors, some showing lines of code scrolling like rain, others frozen on maps, grainy traffic cams, faces. Cables snake across the floor and a single desk lamp burns over his chair. He sits hunched, fingers flying over two keyboards at once, eyes locked on the center screen. He doesn’t look up.“Give me thirty seconds. I have to set this up.” He mutters.I stand there, my hands shoved into my pocket

Zero POVShadow doesn’t answer right away. His jaw flexes, eyes darting toward me like he’s debating whether to speak.“Shadow,” I press, my patience thinking. He looks like he is reconsidering telling me whatever it is he was told “What. Did. They. Find?”He swallows. “The car.”The world seems to stop moving. For a heartbeat, even my pulse freezes.“Where?”“About four miles downstream,” he says quietly. “No sign of the two though.”A gasp follows, it's Chloe’s. The last part has my heart clenching and trembling at the same time. That's good news right? If they are not in the wreckage, they escaped, right? Before I can be consumed by these thoughts, I grab my jacket without another word and stride out.“ Where are you going? I will come with you.” Chloe sniffs from behind me.I halt and turn to face her, forcing a smile.“ No Chloe. Stay here with the others. I’ll give you a call when I get there.” I say.She shakes her head, fear evident in her face.“ I want to see…” She star

ZeroAfter leaving the scene, I head straight to Club image to have a talk with Mr Lamberto. When I step into Mr. Lamberto’s office, the scent of cigars and old leather fills the air.The faint hum of the city beyond the tall windows gives the place a soft ambience, one that can lull you out of your worries.Mr Lamberto sits behind a mahogany desk, his expressions calm and unreadable as always. His sharp eyes settle on me when I step in and slowly follow my every step. I stop before his desk and tip my head in respect. Not only is he the age of my father, his position as the patron awards him as much respect. “Zero,” he says, motioning to the chair across from him. “I was expecting you,” he says. His voice is steady but I can feel the lingering pain and frustration hidden in it. “ I'm sorry I didn’t inform you before coming here.” I mutter, lowering myself into the chair.“ It's nothing. Considering the current situation we are in, I'd say no one has time for that.” He says, g

  • The Biker's Claim   death warrant

Zero POVSometimes life can be cruel and fucked up. One moment, we are all celebrating Mason and Hera's engagement. The next, news of their tragic accident spreads like wildfire. I don't know if I should curse this wicked fate or comfort Chloe who has been crying nonstop since we found out what happened to the couple. Then there's the club, left under my care weighing heavily on me. Everyone is looking up to me to find Hera and Mason, hoping that I can give them good news. I have been stuck here for hours, at the place where their car plunged into. The divers sent to help in the search have not found anything. I have also tried diving, looking for their car. There's nothing, not even the slightest evidence that those two were here. The car was probably swept away considering how heavy the river currents are at night. I feel lost, I feel abandoned. Deep down, I want Viper to appear and slap my shoulder and tell me that he is okay, that Hera is okay. Heavy footsteps sound from b
