Chapter 2

ALLYSON

We had enough drinks and fun. I enjoyed myself to the brim. I was glad I didn't go against my promise. This was all I needed after all.

" Would you dance with me?" Ethan got up and stretch his hand. I was confused at first before I realized he was talking to me. I didn't want to decline and make him feel bad. It was a harmless dance after all so I took his hand " sure, I'd love to dance "

He smiled at my reply and guide me to the dance floor. We both pretend not to be aware of others making fun of us. I find the whole thing funny.

Ethan found a spot for us on the dance floor. He wrapped his hand around my waist " Are you sure you wanna dance?"

I cock a brow" If I don't want to, I wouldn't have agreed to it trust me "

" I didn't want it to seem like I had to force you to dance with me," he said with a soft smile.

I love this gentleman's side of him. He makes me feel some kind of connection for him but not the way everyone is thinking. This connection was more like a friend connection.

Suddenly, I felt strange again. I felt those eyes on me. The mysterious eyes. I had a gut feeling that whoever it was is behind me.

We move to the beat of the music. It was a nice quiet song. It makes one want to marry their partner immediately if possible.

" You seem to be staring around." Ethan pointed out. He notice how tense I was.

I shook my  head " It's nothing "

He didn't believe of course and didn't want to force the word out of me " Ok. Just relax and enjoy yourself"

So I forced a smile " Thanks "

Ethan nodded " You seem to be familiar though. I think I've seen you before but I don't know where "

I shrugged and stared at him " I'm Bella's friend after all. You must have  seen me somewhere with her "

He shook his head " Not that way"

I furrowed her brows " I don't understand you"

"I think I've seen you in the news or the paper but I can't remember," he told me trying to remember where.

I knew exactly that he saw the picture of my family in the news. Dad was the talk of the town so it was nothing new to me that people knew how rich he was.  The paparazzi follow him around a lot just so they can get some information about him.

I tried to change the topic " I mean, maybe its someone that looks just like me "

He went with that " you could be right. It might be so "

I felt a little comfortable with him. Dancing was never my thing but I did enjoy dancing right now, maybe it's because Ethan was a gentleman. He seems to be around twenty-four or twenty-five years. She isn't sure but he looks older than her.

" How old are you?" The question came out unexpectedly

He smirked, " Is someone scared that I might be very older than you are?"

I shook my head " Ermm... I was only wondering and that was it " I bit my lips and in a reflex, his eyes follow the movement.

Ethan swallowed softly. I saw the action but would like to pretend that I didn't. Wouldn't want to give him some fake signals

" You are single?" Okay, I didn't know when that question came out. I blame that on the alcohol. I always ask and behave stupidly most of the time in my drunk state.

He chuckled seeing my embarrassed face. I look so shy and ashamed of myself. Ethan finds everything I said funny.

He lift my head with the tip of his finger " You don't need to be ashamed of yourself. It's normal to me "

" But it's so not normal to me. I'm not blunt and I don't know why I'm blunt right now " I said with a pout

" I guess the drink is finally getting to you. Maybe we should sit?" He suggested

I shook my head " I want to dance " 

Ethan laughed.  It was a beautiful laugh " You are so adorable ".

" Why thank you "  bowed my head jokingly

He burst out laughing harder " You are hilarious"

." I've been told that multiple times"

We danced some more and talked for quite some time not until I began to feel the pains in my legs. Standing so long in heels isn't my thing at all. I always get bruises around them.

" I think we should go and sit "I suggested and winced a little.

" Are you alright?"

I nodded " My legs pain a lot. I need to sit"

Ethan agreed so we went to have a sit. He helped me to sit. The others were also on the dance floor too.

We were the only ones sitting. It was a fun night actually and I was enjoying myself.

Suddenly, I felt a little off again. This was becoming scary. The feeling that someone was watching came back. I thought it was something I can handle but this was too much and scary. I didn't know who it was or where the person is at. All I know is that someone was staring at me.

" I don't know why I feel that someone is watching," I said out loud

Ethan was alarmed " Do you want to go home? I can take you home if you want " he offered which was so kind of him.

" No, you don't need to bother. Moreover, I'll be sleeping over at Bella's house " that was what I wrote on the note I left for dad.

Dad prefers Bella to any of my friends. It's not as if  I have lots of friends to bring home but because Bella's dad was dad's friend, that just ticks all the boxes. He trusts me with them. I mentally rolled my eyes. Dad can be something else.

I notice Ethan was quiet, he seem to be in thought about something or someone.

" Are you alright?"

" Regarding your question earlier, yes I'm single,  " he said and that made me turn red.

He chuckled at my flushed face " You don't need to be shy about it. "

I smiled " You are so charming "

" Aww, a compliment from a beautiful lady like you is what I desire "

I busted out laughing so hard. They were in their world and they didn't even notice that the others were already seated.

" What are you love birds gossiping about?" Bella asked with a smile. She seems defensive in a kind of way.

" Never mind " Ethan stated and winked at me who can't hold my laughter.

Bella's face changed entirely. I noticed it and I don't like this at all. Something is wrong.

The other saw the tense atmosphere. It felt as though Bella's cousin knew what was going on but I don't.

" let's try something guys. Truth or dare"

The guys seem interested. Amidst all this, I  stared at my friend " Bella" I whispered

Bella turned to answer  " Yeah," she answered with furrowed brows.

" Are you alright?" I asked to be sure

It was easy to have the conversation , they were sitting kind of closer.

Bella smiled a little " Yeah" i knew that smile wasn't the actual smile she always gives ne but didn't want to press...

The game began. It went round for a while until it was Bella's turn. All eyes turned to her. I smiled a little seeing the spark in Bella's eyes.

" Truth or dare?"

" Dare"

I couldn't be more  surprised to see Bella go for a dare. It's possible there is someone she likes amongst the guy and i can't wait to find out.

Bella's cousin was the one to give the dare. We all paid attention to what she was going to say.

" Uhm, ... I dare you to kiss Ethan"

Suddenly, I felt a twitch in my chest. I wasn't jealous whatsoever but was shocked. I was very sure that Ethan must be Bella's crush. I smiled so wide getting Bella's attention.

Bella was so shy to even stare at anyone. When she saw the look on my face she turned red. Ethan on the other hand seem surprised but then a playboy will always be a playboy. He was already ready for the kiss.

Everyone cheered so loudly and they pushed her to do the kiss once and for all. Not all knew that she has a crush on Ethan. The others saw it as a joke and nothing more.

They kissed for 20 seconds and when the time went up, Bella sat down back on her seat. She was so embarrassed which was so lovely to watch.

" Well next is Allyson" Ethan pointed out with a wink. He is sure a playboy.

" Yeah!!"

" Truth or dare?" Ethan asked with a wink again.

I rolled my eyes at him but answered nevertheless " Truth"

" Interesting," he said clasping his hands together

" Are you a virgin?"

I felt a thud .
