Chapter 60

The helicopter came back to pick them up. At some point, they'd both fallen asleep under the sky.

Devlin fell asleep first. She'd stayed still because she didn't want to wake him. She remembered that he'd been nursing a hangover that morning and hadn't really had time to get over it fully since.

He'd sucked it up really well but she knew he probably didn't feel his best. So she didn't move around too much so he could get some rest.

She wasn't exactly when she fell asleep too or how long they slept. They woke up to Casiuss shaking them.

"The chopper will be here soon," he announced simply.

Faith groggily sat up and wiped her face. She was a slow-waker. By the time she remembered where she was, why she was there, how she got there and what the heck he meant by a chopper picking them up, Devlin was on his feet and about.

He started to pack up their plates. She joined him. They'd finished everything, including the cake. The only thing left over was a couple bottles of water.
