The black car's door opened slowly.

Rain was still pouring heavily.

Jude squinted as Kris wiped the rain from his eyes.

A woman stepped out with a black umbrella, wearing a white dress with clean shoes. She wasn't wet at all.

Kris's mouth dropped open when he saw her. "Suzan?"

Jude stopped crying. "You?"

Suzan didn't smile. She looked at their luggage, the closed gate, and the rain mixing with their tears. The same way they had once looked at her.

This is not enough, you fools, she laughed in her heart.

"Why are you here?" she asked, as if she didn't know anything about them.

Jude told her the whole story as she shivered.

"Okay, get in the car." They desperately got into the car. They didn't know her motives.

She drove. Jude couldn't stop staring at the car and at Suzan.

"This fool finally has a good life," she whispered.

Suzan could see them in the rearview mirror.

She felt like crashing the car and letting them die in it.

She increased the speed. She saw their scared faces.

It sent a little bit of joy through her.

She remembered—this wasn't the time yet.

Suzan stopped at a glorious mansion.

Her new mansion, with a number of cars parked outside.

Suzan told them that she had something to do. They should carry their luggage into the mansion. She had a little something to do.

When they were about to disappear from her sight, her phone buzzed. It was her brother, Jonah.

"Jonah, I have baited them," she said confidently.

"But... little sis, be careful, though," Jonah said nervously.

Suzan put her phone right back into her pocket and headed into the house.

Kris and Jude were even more shocked by the beauty of the house.

They sat on the luxurious sofas in the living room because their legs were weak.

When she entered, a handsome little boy who called her "Mummy" ran down the stairs, and she hugged him tightly.

"My boy, Fred, did you eat breakfast?"

"Yes, Mummy."

"Okay, go out and play with your pet, Kris."

It was a dog. Suzan had named it after Kris.

Of course, men are dogs, she thought.

Kris and Jude looked at each other, their eyes widening.

What else could homeless people do?

Suzan turned to them. "Kris, that is your son.

I was pregnant by the time you threw me out of your mansion."

Kris's spine chilled. He felt embarrassed.

He didn't know what to say next.

"Wow, I have a grandson," Jude said with a fake smile.

The house was big. It was three times bigger than their house.

Jude softly said, "We know how much we wronged you. But we are also humans.

We beg for your forgiveness." She looked at Kris and forced him to kneel as well.

Suzan turned her back and looked at her photo that hung on the wall.

For some reason, she smirked. She then turned back to them, pretending to cry. "Mother-in-law, I already forgave you." She hugged them. Immediately, she frowned as she felt like punching them.

Jude and Kris thought, We have got her again.

Suzan gave them rooms that were as big as a living room.

They laughed.

Fred was busy playing with his Roblox toys when Kris approached him. He had small cars and a small house. He was talking to himself.

Kris walked slowly and sat near him. Of course, he was pretending to be a good daddy.

"Hey, champ," Kris said softly.

Fred looked up. His eyes were big, just like Kris's.

"Are you... are you my dad?" Fred asked. His voice was small. "My friends at school said I don't have a dad. They laugh at me."

Kris felt nothing, but he faked a sad face. He brought out a sweet he had stolen from Suzan's car. It was still in his wet pocket.

"Of course I am your dad. Look, I brought you a sweet."

Fred's face lit up. Finally, he had a dad. He took the sweet quickly.

"You will stay? You will not leave me like other daddies leave?" Fred asked, holding Kris's dirty shirt.

Kris hugged him. A fake hug. "I will never leave you again, my son."

Upstairs, from the corner, Suzan was watching everything. Her hands were shaking. She saw how Fred smiled for a man who had never even bought him a diaper.

This liar, she thought. You didn't even know he existed yesterday.

Kris played with him before he went to sleep.

Later, Suzan went to the balcony all alone.

Kris came. Suzan wore her fake smile again, but inside, she was choking.

"Suzan, thank you for everything you've done for us today. We don't know how to repay you," Kris softly said as he looked her in the eyes.

Suzan remembered how she had fallen for this man's words.

A moment of silence came.

Suzan said as she patted his shoulders, "Goodnight."

Jude rested in her new plotting evil.

Suzan went to her room. In her room was another secret room that needed a secret code to unlock.

There, she sat, putting on headphones.

She listened to what Jude and Kris said while she was outside.

Every room in the house had cameras and recorders.

Her photo had a camera and a voice recorder.

They said this:

Jude: "This foolish woman has finally brought us back into her life."

Kris: "Oops, she has brought us back again."

Jude: "I have a plan. Let's throw her out of her own house now."

Kris: "Mom, we are going to trick her into falling for our plans."

They ended up laughing.

Suzan laughed evilly, and tears even began pouring down her face. Not because she was sad.

It was because she felt joy when she laughed so much.

"You want to trick me now? Let us see who is tricking whom."

Hahaha……Even God cannot save you this time. She picked up her phone and dialed her daddy's number.

Angela didn't scream. She only smirked. A slow, dangerous smirk that made her lipstick look like blood. Then she pecked Kris on his cheek, softly, like she was kissing a child."Kris, I didn't mean to slap you. It was because you insisted on not letting me see the screen."Kris touched his cheek. The slap was still burning. But her kiss was confusing him."But honey, no need to worry! My dad can help your company in no time."Kris's face lit up instantly. His eyes became wide like a little boy who just got a toy."For real? Thank God." Excitement warmed his whole body. He forgot about the slap. He forgot about the phone. "That's so good. That's so good, Angela."Angela spoke in a calm tone, almost dangerously calm. Too calm."Yeah, probably by tomorrow everything will be all set. The company's sales will be back again. All your debts will disappear. Just like magic."She then catwalked out of the office. Her heels clicked on the marble floor. Click. Click. Click. Every click felt like

“Sign these divorce papers,” he roared as he gestured for her to sign. “Be aware because you are not going to get any property from me.” His words stabbed her chest like a hot knife. Before she could even process the words again, a blazing slap landed on her cheek. It was her mother-in-law,Jude. The slap burned her cheek red, and her ear was ringing. She then grabbed her chin, forcing her to look up.“Do you think a girl from the dustbin became the lady of the mansion?” she snapped. “Kris, tell your stupid, illiterate wife to sign and leave this mansion,” her mother-in-law barked as she left the living room. Suzan forced herself to calm down and breathe, though she felt a stone choking her throat. “I warned Kris against marrying you because you had no class, no education, and, to make matters worse, you were an orphan.” “Kris, tell this bitch to sign and leave this house,” she bitterly uttered as she went upstairs. The divorce papers lay on the expensive glass table, right next to he
