INICIAR SESIÓN"Hi, Dad, is everything good at home?"
"Oh yes, my daughter, we are perfectly fine. But your mother Eva and I are very worried about you. Make sure they don't harm you," Paul's voice was firm and calm.
Suzan looked at herself keenly in the mirror. She was wearing a silk nightgown, but her eyes were not soft. They were sharp. Like knives.
"Dad, don't worry about me. I have them under my control. I have already purchased VIC secretly. Nobody knows who bought it from Angela."
Paul laughed on the other side. A cold and proud laugh. "My tiger daughter. Sleep well. Tomorrow, that boy will bow to you and he won't even know it."
"Good night, Dad." She hung up.
Suzan fell asleep, but she did not rest at all.
In her dream, she was back in that small kitchen five years ago. Jude was standing there, pouring cold water on her head while she was cooking. "You barren, useless girl! You can't even give my son a child! You are useless!"
Kris just stood at the door and watched. He did nothing. He smiled.
Suzan woke up sweating. Her desire for revenge was no longer just desire. It was fire raiding through papers.
Morning very came. She was still rolling in bed when she heard loud cries from her son, Fred.
Her heart skipped a beat.
Fred never cried like that unless he was in real pain. For a second, a terrible thought crossed her mind - what if Kris hurt him? What if Jude slapped him?
She panicked and ran barefoot to her bedroom door.
"W-W-What is wrong, baby?" She hugged him tight, checking his body all over, his arms, his legs, his face.
"Mom, my favorite toy is broken!" His cries grew louder, loud enough to wake Kris in the next room.
In the next room, Kris punched the wall in anger, as if the house was his. The whole corridor shook.
"Who is making noise this early morning!" he shouted.
Fred hid behind Suzan's legs, scared and sad.
"Honey, don't worry, Mommy is going to buy you a new one," she whispered, patting his small shoulders. "Now go back to your room with Nanny Sara."
Sara came running faster than a storm, her uniform half-tucked.
"Ma'am, I am really sorry, I warned him not to wake you but he didn't listen."
"There is no need for you to apologize, Sara" Suzan said softly. "Take him to his room."
"Okay, ma'am." Sara carried Fred away in her arms.
Later, Suzan went downstairs to the living room.
Kris was there watching the Premier League, screaming as if he had been burnt. His legs were on her expensive Italian table. Chips all over the floor.
"Yesss, score the goal!" he shouted, even though he saw Suzan coming downstairs.
As for Jude, she had ordered two maids to massage her wrinkled feet. She had ordered them to bring her tea with the perfect amount of sugar and flavor.
One of the maids, a young girl named Linda, looked at Suzan with anger, as if to say, "Are you blind? They are fooling around in your house."
Suzan gave Linda a small, secret nod.
She approached them with a smile that did not reach her eyes.
"Kris and Mother, I have something special for you."
Their eyes widened, scanning her hands.
"Here, I got you black cards. Unlimited. You can use them for anything you want."
Silence. Then chaos.
Jude dropped her tea. Kris jumped from the sofa.
"Black card! For me!" Kris stormed forward to hug Suzan tightly, but she dodged him smoothly. Kris lost his balance and fell down hard on the carpet. But he still laughed like a fool.
Jude screamed, holding the card to her chest, "Oh, my daughter, you're becoming more useful each and every day!"
Suzan went upstairs and left them rejoicing as if they had won a ticket to heaven.
A minute later, she was in her bedroom, when the door opened without a knock.
Kris walked in, as if the house was his. He was wearing only a towel after showering in her guest bathroom, using her expensive perfume.
"Can I use one of your cool cars to have some fun tomorrow? The red one?" he asked, walking closer.
Suzan stood still. She wanted to slap him, but she said softly, "Yes, Kris, you can."
He smiled. He came closer, his hand reaching for her waist.
"You're still beautiful when you're angry..." he whispered.
Suzan froze for a moment. Her hand was already forming a fist.
Just then, the door burst open.
" But,Mommy! The car man said that man can't drive your red car!"
Fred came in with his green new toy. Kris jumped back, embarrassed, his eyes barely meeting Suzan's.
"Kris, don't forget that tomorrow you have to go to the VIC company where you are the new manager. My client helped you get the position," she lied calmly.
Kris fixed his towel and nodded proudly, "Don't worry, baby. I will make you proud."
After he left, Suzan locked the door and walked to her laptop. She put on her earphones.
_Click._
She could hear everything in the house. Every room had ears. Every car had eyes. They were living in her beautiful, expensive prison.
_Ding!_
An email popped up.
*SUBJECT: VIC OWNERSHIP TRANSFER - COMPLETE*
*NEW OWNER: SUZAN PAUL*
Tomorrow, her ex-husband would go to work and realize his new boss was the same woman he mistreated.
She closed the laptop.
"Welcome to hell, Kris," she whispered.
Suzan ordered Jonah that night to make the breaks faulty.
Suzan l have to make him late for work and get embarrassed as he embarrassed me.
I have to make sure he comes to the office with blood on his t-shirt.
Jonah couldn't believe that it was her sister who once cried in the rain plotting this.
He only shook his head in relief of how she can now fight for herself.
And for Jude the card expired.
She had to get embarrassed in the mall In front of her friends calling her a thief.

The black car's door opened slowly.Rain was still pouring heavily.Jude squinted as Kris wiped the rain from his eyes.A woman stepped out with a black umbrella, wearing a white dress with clean shoes. She wasn't wet at all.Kris's mouth dropped open when he saw her. "Suzan?"Jude stopped crying. "You?"Suzan didn't smile. She looked at their luggage, the closed gate, and the rain mixing with their tears. The same way they had once looked at her. This is not enough, you fools, she laughed in her heart."Why are you here?" she asked, as if she didn't know anything about them.Jude told her the whole story as she shivered."Okay, get in the car." They desperately got into the car. They didn't know her motives. She drove. Jude couldn't stop staring at the car and at Suzan."This fool finally has a good life," she whispered.Suzan could see them in the rearview mirror. She felt like crashing the car and letting them die in it.She increased the speed. Angela didn't scream. She only smirked. A slow, dangerous smirk that made her lipstick look like blood. Then she pecked Kris on his cheek, softly, like she was kissing a child."Kris, I didn't mean to slap you. It was because you insisted on not letting me see the screen."Kris touched his cheek. The slap was still burning. But her kiss was confusing him."But honey, no need to worry! My dad can help your company in no time."Kris's face lit up instantly. His eyes became wide like a little boy who just got a toy."For real? Thank God." Excitement warmed his whole body. He forgot about the slap. He forgot about the phone. "That's so good. That's so good, Angela."Angela spoke in a calm tone, almost dangerously calm. Too calm."Yeah, probably by tomorrow everything will be all set. The company's sales will be back again. All your debts will disappear. Just like magic."She then catwalked out of the office. Her heels clicked on the marble floor. Click. Click. Click. Every click felt like
5 years had passed without hearing from Suzan.Kris told himself she must have died. Where would an orphan with no food go? She died of hunger, he thought. It made sleeping easier. He stared at the empty spot where Suzan used to fold his shirts. For a second he felt guilt. Then he shook it off.He wasn't happy though — Kris wanted a son, but Angela gave him a daughter. And Angela wasn't soft like Suzan.Suzan was calm, but Angela was fire. Angela could yell at Jude, her own mother-in-law, and Jude had to swallow it.Jude felt anger choking her throat every day, but what could she do? Every decision has a price. The price of throwing Suzan out was living with Angela.Angela was short-tempered. No one points a finger at her. She would do worse than you can imagine.Jude didn't even like Angela's daughter, but she had to pretend to kiss her, carry her, and praise her. Because Angela's parents were rich. They came with gifts, with boxes, with money for Kris's failing business. They didn't
A black car stopped. The door opened.A man stepped out but his eyes were a bit familiar.Suzan wiped the rain from her face to see clearly. The man stared and broke the silence."Big sis... is that you?"It was Jonah, her little brother. They were both kidnapped when they were little. They don't remember their parents. They only remember growing up together at the orphanage.Years later, Jonah was adopted by a rich family. They hadn't seen each other since. The only thing she had of him was an old photo of them at the orphanage.Jonah ran and hugged her so tight she could barely breathe.Suzan coughed. "Lil bro... enough. Do you want to lose your sister on the same day you have found her?"He finally let go, but his eyes were red. "What are you doing outside this mansion in the rain?""It's... just—""Did that jerk throw you out?" he cut in, frowning. "Sister was right. You married the wrong man.""We don't have time for this. Get in the car.""I can't, I don't want to bother you and
“Sign these divorce papers,” he roared as he gestured for her to sign. “Be aware because you are not going to get any property from me.” His words stabbed her chest like a hot knife. Before she could even process the words again, a blazing slap landed on her cheek. It was her mother-in-law,Jude. The slap burned her cheek red, and her ear was ringing. She then grabbed her chin, forcing her to look up.“Do you think a girl from the dustbin became the lady of the mansion?” she snapped. “Kris, tell your stupid, illiterate wife to sign and leave this mansion,” her mother-in-law barked as she left the living room. Suzan forced herself to calm down and breathe, though she felt a stone choking her throat. “I warned Kris against marrying you because you had no class, no education, and, to make matters worse, you were an orphan.” “Kris, tell this bitch to sign and leave this house,” she bitterly uttered as she went upstairs. The divorce papers lay on the expensive glass table, right next to he
