Chase’s POV

“Is there a problem?” I asked Carmen.

She looked like she had seen a ghost when I made my demand.

In all honesty, I knew that I shouldn’t be here, but I was so restless that I didn’t know where else I could have gone. One minute I was driving my car out of my garage, and the next minute, I was at Carmen’s front door.

I had simply told myself that being here for the leg massage was a good excuse. Meanwhile, I wasn’t feeling any pain. Carmen’s magic hands had helped in making me feel better.

Maybe a part of me just needed to see Carmen to make this nervousness go away.

Thankfully, I was able to convince Kevin to accept Donny’s offer. It wasn’t without coming up with a plan, and of course, some high cost, but I was willing to do anything just go get me an insider on Donny’s team so that I would be aware of every move he made.
