Chapter 92: Claire’s POV

I could tell that Leo’s anger was close to the surface. He was stressed and I could understand why, although I didn’t agree with his decision. I rush out when I hear him yelling at Nathan. I could hear Jasmine rush down the stairs as well.

I call after Leo as I see him getting closer to Nathan. He was about to snap and I try holding his face. It was one of the few ways to soothe him. After he apologizes and turns to leave, I decide it’s best to follow him out and check on him. I had been harsh and I know that it led to tonight’s altercation. I follow him to his car and wait for him to turn his attention to me.

“Claire, I didn’t mean to -“ I raise a hand to stop him.

“You did and I know our conversation pushed you there. I was being too hard on you. I can see that you’re dealing with a lot right now. It was my fault.” I confess.

“No, it wasn’t. I’ve been on edge since you left with our boys.” He looks into my eyes and I can see his sadness. I put my hand on his cheek again.

    Leonardo paved as he waited for the nurse and doctor to check in on me. He was nervous and I could see why. We weren’t expecting the boys to set their arrival just yet.
