“Wow, you guys are smoking hot together,” Phoebe commented as she led Kate to the other side of the room.

“Plus, have I mentioned how absolutely gorgeous you look with this baby bump? I’ve never seen a pregnant woman look so beautiful.”

“Stop,” Kate laughed shyly. “I don’t look like this every day.”

“Girl, you’re practically glowing like the sun. I love it for you,” Phoebe continued.

Kate smiled. She was starting to like Phoebe. There was something genuinely warm about her nature. Kate decided that Phoebe was going to be her first friend in Chicago for sure.

They got to where Felicity, Julia, and Dione were standing by the mantlepiece in a small semi-circle, deep in conversation. When they saw Kate, their expressions lit up and they greeted her cheerfully.
