Chapter Twenty: Farewell My Love

Alexander's POV

Laying my mother to rest is one of the most difficult things I have had to do. I have seen my fair share of deaths while serving in the navy. I should be used to it but when it's the woman who gave birth to me it's not easy. It's even more maddening to be aware that the person responsible is the very one who held my hand through the funeral. I despise Rhea with every fiber of my being. She took away one of the two women I love the most. I have to protect Helena from heading in the same direction my mother did.
