Birth of twins

Several months passed...

Maelie sat quietly in a chair, gazing at the pair of twin babies she had given birth to via Cesarean section a few hours ago, precisely in a hospital quite far from her home. The baby boy and baby girl each lay on their respective cribs nearby, all healthy, dressed in blue and pink complete with caps, socks, and mittens.

"Erland... I never thought I would experience this moment without you, and it turns out it's not so bad," she thought to herself with a faint smile, reaching out to touch her baby daughter's cheek.

"Have you thought of names for them?" Amanda asked, standing beside her.

"I thought you would give them names," Maelie replied, turning to Amanda. "You've always been there for me, giving me attention during my pregnancy..."

"No no... I don't want to," Amanda shook her head. "You're their mother, so you have the right to give them names. Not me... I'm just doing what I should as your only sister."

Maelie fell silent, then looked back at her babies.
