Raging at husband

A few days have passed.

A muscular man with a thin beard parked his black jeep in front of a small house with a bakery, complete with a sign that read "Luisa Sweet Cake". He quickly got out, carrying a backpack on his back and two paper bags in his hands then walked towards the glass front door of the house, where Amanda quickly opened it.

"Erland," she greeted with a flat gaze.

Erland smiled and handed one of the paper bags to Amanda.

"You're back early," remarked Amanda as she received the paper bag.

"My work finished quickly...I didn't want to stay away from your sister for too long," replied Erland with a sweet smile. "I'm sure she's busy in the kitchen now... But I'll stop her," he immediately entering the house enthusiastically.

Amanda glanced at the contents of the paper bag. 'He's rich. I won't let him watch my sister and me suffer while he enjoys a life of luxury with his first wife ... he has to give us luxuries too!'

...

Erland entered a beautifully decorated kitchen with pink tones, looking deserted. No oven was on, and even the pantry table typically used for making cakes seemed clean.

"I think she made cakes ...Maybe she's in the bedroom," he said, quickly moving towards the bedroom, passing through the dining area and a rather narrow living room until he arrived at the room.

He pushed the door. "Honey, I'm home!"

The door opened, and Erland breathed a sigh of relief when he saw Maelie sitting on the bed, wearing a blue dress with open sleeves, looking beautiful but somewhat pale. His smile faded as he approached her.

"Honey, are you sick?"

He sat down, touching Maelie's forehead and staring at her anxiously.

"Oh, you're not fever. But why do you look so pale?" He was confused, more so because Maelie's gaze seemed empty. "Oh God, did I leave you for too long? did something make you sad?" He immediately hugged her anxiously, occasionally kissing her forehead and hair.

Slowly but surely, Maelie began to cry, imagining Erland with another woman while being far away from her, feeling deceived, yet not wanting to lose him.

"Oh, baby, why are you crying?" Erland released his embrace, cupping Maelie's cheeks and looking into her hazel blue eyes, filled with tears. "Tell me what happened, hmm? Has someone hurt you? Did someone said bad about the cakes you made?" He asked.

"You," Maelie whispered.

"I?" Erland furrowed his brow. "What do you mean? Are you upset because I kept working far away?"

Maelie shook her head, then pushed away Erland's hand. She was too lazy to talk, opting instead to grab her phone, open her I*******m, and show an account named "Mrs.Tiff_geraldton."

"I don't know why you'd do this to me..." She handed her phone to Erland.

He took the phone, his ocean blue eyes staring at the photos in Tiffany's posts, and suddenly his heart raced, as if shocked by what he saw.

"The one in the photo is you, right?" asked Maelie.

Erland nervously bit his lower lip.

"She's your wife... You married her before me... You allowed her to use your last name, whereas you chose to use my last name without letting me use yours... You said it was a sign of your deep love for me... But you used it to cover up your true identity here, didn't you?" Maelie spoke with trembling lips, tears streaming down, her head pounding, especially as her stomach felt nauseous..

Erland sighed heavily, his lips seemingly stiff to explain.

"How many times? How much...? How many lies have you told me? Why did you do this? You made me your second wife... You betrayed your wife... Why did you become such a big liar...why? What mistake have I done that you have the heart to do this to me?" Maelie wondered, looking at Erland who looks perfect and never disappointing her until now. "You acted like an angel to me... You pretended to be a poor man... You pretended to struggle at work... While you go to New York to live another life there? Full of luxury... You see me working hard here, while you..."

Maelie couldn't finish her sentence; her heart was too painful, remembering her life had always been difficult, and Erland didn't help much, although, in reality, he was a billionaire.

"Mae..." Erland was confused.

"What?" Maelie continued crying. "You know, I've suffered enough... I don't have parents, so why would you do this to me? Do you want to add to my emotional suffering?"

"No, that's not true!" Erland shook his head, then grabbed Maelie's hand.

Maelie immediately pulled her hand away, shifting away from Erland. "Don't touch me, you son of bitch!"

"Okay, I know I'm wrong, I'm a liar... But I have many reasons, Honey... You have to know that, I'll explain, but you have to calm down!" Erland pleaded, trying to touch Maelie's arm, apprehensive.

Maelie quickly swatted Erland's hand away.

"I don't like beating around the bush, just explain everything now. I won't be able to calm down unless I hear your explanation first!" she exclaimed, curling up.

"Okay!" Erland nodded, then removed his backpack and positioned himself to sit in front of Maelie.

She remained silent, unwilling to look at Erland; it would only hurt her as he wasn't completely hers.

"I married her due to an arrangement by our parents, and at that time, I didn't care much about love..." Erland began explaining, his thoughts taking him back to the past. "I felt like a puppet for my family. I worked, did whatever they asked, and was supposed to marry her. It had been planned since we were 17, and I didn't have a chance to protest. We were always together... I didn't have the chance to fall in love with another girl; I just had to comply with our family's directives, especially since she also adored me, so I thought there was nothing wrong with marrying her..."

Maelie sighed, feeling increasingly hurt, her mind starting to visualize Erland's teenage years always spent with Tiffany.

"We got married, and everything seemed fine, but gradually, I realized that it all felt ordinary... Even during our honeymoon to Italy, London, Dubai... Nothing special until I decided to return to New York immediately," Erland explained again, his gaze fixed on Maelie, feeling so hurt seeing the suffering on her face. "We lived in the mansion given by my father, but everything felt even more ordinary. She was busy with work, starting her career as a designer, and I was occupied with my business. We rarely met, until eventually, one of my father's trusted individuals committed massive corruption in Nevada... He asked me to handle the company there, but she didn't want to come with me and chose a long-distance relationship..."

"I didn't reject the deal because I wanted more freedom. I only occasionally came to the company; otherwise, I often visited unique places, until eventually, I came here... Meet you, tasting your homemade cake... And honestly... Your beautiful smile makes me want to keep coming back... I fell in love with you; I like the simple life around you so much that I chose never to reveal my true identity, or my family background, especially since you accepted me even when I said I didn't have a job at that time... I feel like seeing my future with you would be more beautiful than with her... Finding happiness that I've never felt before... I just want to make you happy, to take care of you... I don't want to think about anything except you."

"You should make a choice," Maelie whispered.

"I could," Erland replied, nodding. "But there's a lot to consider..."

"You love her..."

"I don't know..."

Maelie wiped her tears, her body trembling, her heart in unbearable pain.

"You love her; that's why you can't let go," she said disappointedly. "Even until now, you still won't let go; you choose to spend more time with her than with me... Then what am I for? You should let me be free... No need to pretend to love me."

"Darling..." Erland approached, looking at Maelie sadly, then gently took her hand. "I love you more than I do her. And when I have reasons to be out of town, I might be with her, but everything feels ordinary..."

"Lies!" Maelie pulled her hand away.

"No, I'm not..."

"You must be lying, everything you say is a lie, you just want to cover up your mistakes!" She exclaimed with overwhelming emotions, grabbing a pillow and throwing it at him.

"Sweetheart, please listen to me..." He dodged every pillow hitting his body.

"You're a liar, a hypocrite, you should leave me... I don't want to be a second wife!" Maelie grabbed a blanket and threw it at Erland. "You should go, I don't want to see you again, you're not mine!" she shouted as she got off the bed.
