Throw him out

Erland chased after Maelie, who ran from her bed after seeing him ound a pregnancy test kit under the pillow "Darling, why did you hide this from me? You're pregnant, aren't you?"

Maelie stopped in front of the door.

Erland immediately embraced her, kissing her forehead with eyes full of suffering, as if in pain seeing her cry.

"I'm pregnant... I wanted to tell you as a surprise, but... I know you have another wife, and I'm just the second wife, you were with her first, I'm like a home-wrecker!" she cried, pushing Erland away. "You make me feel like a wicked woman now. How can I continue with you when she also needs you and surely doesn't accept me in your life? I'm just a parasite to both of you!" She asserted, her cheeks already filled with tears.

Erland shook his head with a resigned look.

"I don't care what your reasons are, but I can't be with you anymore!" Maelie reiterated, about to leave the room, but Erland immediately grabbed her hand.

"I will never let you go, and I will never leave you!" Erland said with a serious look. "You need me much more... You have my child... How can I comply with your wish for separation? I don't want to be a cruel father!"

"But I don't want to be the second wife!" Maelie withdrew her hand and then pushed Erland away from her. "I can't share love. Ever since I found out you have another wife, all night I've been imagining you holding her, kissing her... You spending time with her, while I'm here still suffering... Working hard to bake cakes, find buyers, to pay for this rental... And now everything feels even harder because I'm pregnant, I'm constantly nauseous. I can't face it with this situation..."

"That's why we should stay together," Erland said patiently.

"I said I won't share love!" Maelie retorted, immediately turning her face away as if not wanting to see Erland anymore. "If you want to stay with me, then leave her..."

"I can't..."

"Why?"

Erland shook his head anxiously, unable to explain.

Maelie immediately turned back to look at him sharply. "You love her, don't you? You want her but you also want me, how greedy you are!"

She slapped him immediately.

Erland turned to the right after the slap landed on his cheek.

Madeline sighed as if suffocated, feeling disgusted at Erland's silent attitude, feeling stupid for loving him but finding out that love was only answered with lies and betrayal.

"You make me feel so stupid and disgusted with myself now!" she hissed. "You said you only love me, you said we should fight together for success... You said you wanted to create a small family with me... How can you say that while you have another wife, even in your career you are already very successful? You make me struggle to earn money, while you have plenty... You don't want to share any of it with me, you only use it for your pleasure and with her... Then what am I to you? Now I understand that I never meant anything to you!"

Maelie vented all her anger, her tears flowing and her body trembling as she sat on the floor and leaned against the wall.

"Now I understand... From your attitude, it's clear that you will only care more and choose her over me. I'm not that important to you, I'm just your doll, I..."

"Mae..." Erland crouched in front of Maelie and reached for her hands on her knees. "I never meant to make you suffer or prioritize myself over you."

"Then what?" Maelie averted her gaze. "What does our marriage mean?"

"Our marriage is based on love, full of purity... I told you before, my life was perfect with a wealth... I could get anything I wanted, but I still felt thirsty for happiness. That made me feel like I wanted genuine happiness with you... And I didn't show you my wealth because I didn't want you to suspect... I was wrong to hide this, to marry you without leaving her first... To leave her is not easy," Erland said with a sad look.

"So you want me to stay with you?"

"Of course... We have to stay together... I will try to be fair, I will give you whatever you need, you don't have to work anymore... You..."

"Do you think I want a polygamous life?" Maelie asked with wide eyes, pushing Erland away from her body.

Erland fell to the floor, shocked by Maelie's emotions increasing again.

Maelie immediately stood up and opened the door. "Get out! I don't want to see you again!" she shouted.

"But, darling..."

"Get out!" Maelie yelled, glaring at Erland as he stood up.

Erland was stunned, his lips seemingly unable to speak.

"I don't want to see you again, I won't agree to your fuckingnc plan!" Maelie exclaimed, pushing Erland out and slamming the door shut.

"I hate you!" she cried in tears, slowly sitting with her back against the door.

The woman was so pitiful, she ran her messy hair, her face full of tears. She couldn't stop imagining how her husband always seemed faithful, romantic, and kind, but it turned out he belonged to another woman.

Bitterly, she couldn't stop imagining her husband's life with his first wife, full of luxury, in stark contrast to her own life full of difficulties. This reality made her feel always in second place, considering her husband rarely had time for her. And that meant he used it to spend time with his first wife.

'He doesn't love me, he doesn't... He doesn't love me!' she thought, gritting her teeth.

...

Erland approached the bedroom door and then sat there as if waiting for Maelie to open it.

"I didn't expect you to be a liar."

Erland looked up, seeing Amanda standing in front of him with folded arms, her face flat with arrogance.

"Now I know you're a wealthy man... You should treat my sister better... It feels very unfair if we stay here while you live in luxury with your first wife," Amanda said again. "If you weren't stingy, you would know what I mean!" she continued harshly.

Erland just stayed silent, still shocked by the situation.

"My sister is pregnant. She can't work anymore and I still have to continue my studies... I have to..."

"I will give you whatever you need," Erland said before Amanda finished her sentence. "I will make you have wealth... Have a life almost the same as mine with my first wife. But I need time... Everything needs a process... And the most important thing is I have to calm your sister," he continued.

"If you love her, you don't need much time to do all this. Choose one of them, my sister or your first wife!" Amanda exclaimed.

Erland sighed. "If I could choose, I would have done it long ago."

"So, you love them both?"

Erland shook his head and then stood up. "Please, don't bombard me with that question. I'm still very confused right now!"

Amanda fell silent, while Erland went to the kitchen.
