True to his word, Ares had called her but she’d declined each call. She’d also not answered any of his text messages and even refused to respond to the email he’d sent asking her to call him.
Dimi stood in the doorway of her bedroom with a nervous smile, “well I’m off.”
“Are you sure you want to do this?” Magda asked her curiously. “You could show up on Monday, tell him you want a divorce and be done with it. Why go through all this?”
“Because I know my husband,” she sneered the word, “better than he knows himself. He always despised my pranks and tricks when we were kids. I’m older and my imagination is far more developed. He’s going to tow the company line because he believes in the Lykiaos legend. My dad wants us to give him a grandchild, preferably a son. I need him to hate me and want to divorce me so much he will go against my father and grant me my divorce.”
