The front door of the Cage mansion opened with a soft click as Clara, Elise, and Arielle stepped inside, their shopping bags rustling in their hands. Clara's eyes immediately started searching the grand foyer, looking for one person in particular. She didn't even realize she was doing it until she saw him.
Devon was coming down the curved staircase, dressed in casual clothes, a simple white t-shirt and dark jeans that somehow made him look even more handsome than usual. His hair was slightly messy, like he had been running his hands through it, and when he saw the girls, a genuine smile spread across his face.
Clara felt her heart skip a beat. She couldn't help but stare at him as he walked down the stairs, his movements confident and graceful. She was completely lost in watching him, her mouth slightly open in admiration.
"Clara," Arielle whispered beside her, trying not to laugh. "You might want to close your mouth before someone notices."

Clara stood in front of the mirror, her hands smoothing down the fabric of yet another dress. This was the fifth outfit she had tried on, and each time she looked at her reflection, she could almost see Devon standing behind her. In her mind, he was shaking his head at the previous choices, his eyes telling her they weren't quite right."Try the blue one," Elise called out from where she sat on the boutique's plush chair. "Trust me, it'll look amazing on you."Clara reached for the deep blue dress, slipping it on with careful movements. The fabric felt soft against her skin, and when she turned to face the mirror again, something felt different. In her imagination, Devon was smiling now, nodding his approval. She could almost hear his voice saying, "This is the one.""I think I'll take this one," Clara said softly, her fingers touching the fabric.Elise's face lit up with a huge smile. "Wow, Clara. I have to say, living with Devon has really changed your
The kiss was so intense that Clara felt like the whole world had stopped spinning. Her hands were wrapped around Devon's head, and his hands were gentle on her cheeks. The stars above them seemed to shine brighter as they stood there under the night sky.Slowly, they both stood up, still holding each other. Devon looked into her eyes, and Clara could see something different there. Something she had never seen before. It was like all his walls had come down, just for her.He pulled her in for another kiss, and this one was even deeper than the first. Clara felt her heart racing as his lips moved against hers. Now, standing in front of each other, Devon pulled her in again, kissing her once more this time deeper, rougher. Their breaths mixed as they kissed like two people who had been starving for each other.Suddenly, Devon pulled back a little, his breath hot against her skin. His hands moved slowly, tugging down her sleeveless nightgown from her shoulders. Clar
Devon walked slowly with Clara, his hand gently guiding her up the stairs. She could feel his fingers brush against hers as he took the things she was carrying."Where are we going?" she asked, her voice soft in the quiet evening."You'll see," he said, not looking back at her. "Trust me."They reached the rooftop, and Clara gasped. The night sky stretched out above them like a dark blanket covered in tiny diamonds. The stars were so bright up here, away from all the city lights below. She had never seen anything like it."Oh my god," she whispered. "This is beautiful."Devon watched her face light up as she looked around. There was a big comfortable couch set up on one side of the rooftop, with soft cushions and a small table beside it. He had planned this."Come, sit," he said, placing the things they brought on the small table between them.Clara sat down on the couch, still looking up at the stars. "How did you know I would love t
Clara was sitting in the cozy living room with Elise and Aileen after dinner talking about her day and how she was settling into the mansion. The three women had been chatting for about a while, sharing stories and getting to know each other better."I'm really glad you're here, Clara," Elise said, curling up on the sofa. "It's nice having another woman around who's close to my age.""Me too," Aileen added. "The house feels more lively now."Clara smiled warmly. "Thank you both. I was so nervous about coming here, but everyone has been so welcoming."They were laughing about something Aileen had said when they heard footsteps approaching. All three women turned to see Devon walking into the room, looking a bit hesitant."Oh, hey Devon," Elise said with a knowing smile. "What brings you here?"Devon glanced around the room, his eyes settling on Clara. "I was just... I would like to talk to Clara for a bit. If that's okay."Elise and Ai
The morning sun was shining through the windows as Clara stood in the hallway of James' house, her bags packed and ready by the door. She felt nervous because she was leaving James’ apartment to go live at the Cage’s till she gives birth. Their relationship was already on a rocky phase because of all the back to back quarrels she was having with James and they haven’t gotten a chance to speak and reconcile so that worried her a lot. But she knew she needed peace, she needed serenity, not shouting and chaos, her pregnancy was a delicate one and she needed to treat it as such. The driver and her bodyguard were busy carrying her things down the stairs while the maid helped with the smaller bags. Clara watched them work and took a deep breath. She was really doing this. She was really leaving.James stood across from her in the hallway, his hands in his pockets. His face looked cold and distant, like he didn't care at all about what was happening. Clara s
