Chapter 17- Digging a hole

Chloe's POV

Ariana and I had been staying with Ethan for about two weeks now, and it was time for her to go to the hospital for her chemotherapy.

Ethan decided not to go to work that day, as he wanted to be there for the whole process that day. I learnt from the doctors that the process could be stressful, discomforting and overwhelming for Ariana, and I felt scared going through the whole thing, but I felt a little bit better with Ethan's presence. Perhaps I needed the support. Bonnie was coming too, and I was even more thankful for that.

Ariana and I stayed at the back of the car, and Ethan decided to stay with us, while a driver drove us. I don't know why, but I felt some kind of relief seeing as Ethan was sharing my feelings and fears. Bonnie was usually very supportive, but it was different with Ethan, perhaps because he was her father.
