4. At the hospital

Christian.

"How's my schedule for tomorrow?" I asked Miss Juliette, who was sitting across from me, with the buttons of her pink shirt taken off, she kept touching herself and licking her tongue with her eyes not leaving my face.

She was probably going to get what she has been asking for.

I stood up from my desk and pushed the black chair I was sitting on behind me. I took my black coat off my body and hung it on the chair.

"Why don't we get this done with…"

She placed her hands on her large boobs and looked at me with a menacing smile plastered on her artificial face.

She poke her lips as she further splayed her legs on the chair she was seating on and I caught a glimpse of the red underwear she had on.

I pulled my tie off my neck and walked over to her.

I roughly grabbed her by her neck and made her stand up.

"Look at me" I commanded and she did with her eyes blinking with fear.

I leaned slowly towards her lips and watched as she closed her eyes.

"If you still want to keep your position in this company, I suggest you stop trying to seduce me at all cost." I tightened my grip around her neck and watched her struggle to breathe.

"Now, how is my schedule for tomorrow?" I yanked her to the floor and she felt like a bag of rotten potatoes.

"Why are you still on that floor? Get up, arrange yourself, and tell me what I asked for."

I strolled back to my seat and used a sanitizer on my hands.  One has to deal with sluts every day, just like the one I dragged outside earlier.

I leaned on my chair and watched as she struggled to get up and adjusted herself.

She picked the file on the table with shaky hands such that some paperwork flew out from it.

"You have a meeting with Mr. London of the heating sector at 9 AM, you will have to select workers that would be working at the Balmoral Dam, and then, you have a dinner date with Miss Laura at 7 PM at East Coast Restaurant."

I was leaning in my chair, swirling around, listening to her read out the schedule with trembling lips.

When she was done, I waved my hands at her and she left immediately.

I grabbed my phone from my desk.  Looking at it with a heavy heart, I dialed a number.

"Hello, Mr. Caspian." The person on the other hand answered.

I let out heavy breaths as I worked my hand up and down my face and released a deep breath.

"Is it possible for me to visit the hospital at this time, Doctor Mark?"

It was close to 8 PM and I knew there would be some restrictions.  However, I needed to see Kevin.

It's been two days already and I needed to spend some time with him.

"It's possible, Mr. Caspian, you can."  He said nervously and I realized that he always does that, each time I talked with him. Was I that bad or intimidating in the eyes of people?

I only turned to be like that, when they crossed my path.

Whatever his problem was.

After talking with him, I called Salvador and told him our next location.

I packed my belongings and made my way downstairs.

I got into the car and we drove to Winner's hospital.  It was a reputable hospital and the best of them all in Chester.

Almost reaching the gates of the hospital, my phone rang.  I calmed down when I saw the caller Id to be that of  my father.

"Father." I called with a smile on my face.  At the corner  of my left eye, I caught Salvador looking at me like he wanted to say something.

"Chris, my boy. How are you feeling today?" His voice sounded cherry, I'm sure he was having a good time.

I let out a puff of breath. "I'm trying father. How are you doing?"

"You have to be fine and not try.  As for me,  I can't complain."

"That's good to know.  I'm on my way to the hospital to see Kevin."

He was about to say something but stopped when I talked about Kevin.

"Take good care of him, Chris ..."

He paused and then said " send my hugs to him."

I nodded, like he could see me.

"Call me when you're done at the hospital."  He then hung up, and so did I.

"Your father is a good man. I envy him a lot."

Salvador smiled as he looked ahead.  I narrowed my eyes on him. My father was a strong man indeed, so what about me?

I crane my neck to the side.

"You are even stronger. Seeing how far you two have come, makes you a strong team"

He patted my shoulder and I nodded my head.

We  have come a long way and that's why I wouldn't let anything or anyone jeopardize my happiness.

I'm grateful for Salvador. He has been there ever since. My father brought him in when I was 15 years old and he has been loyal and he is still here,  not like the others that would leave without  a word.

When I thought about that day, I wished I was never born.

However, I'm thankful for everyone that is still around.

We pulled up at the hospital gate. I went inside, while Salvador went to get the things that were in  the car booth.

"You are here already." Doctor Mark scurried  towards me, in his usual hospital attire.

An overall lab coat, a black stethoscope around his neck. His feet were in white crocs.

He was a man in his middle age.

The old man was nice.  But I hope he was keeping to my instructions.  No one has to see Kevin, without my permission.

"Is he awake or sleeping?" I questioned glancing at the room Kelvin was in.

"He hasn't slept all day. He has been asking about you."

"And don't you worry, he will be better soon, as long as he receives this amount of love and his medications."

Doctors always have a lot to say. I nodded my head and made my way inside.

I had booked a private ward for him. It had a TV, refrigerator, bathroom, and kitchen.

I needed him to have a space for himself.

"Seth". Kevin happily hopped off the bed, the moment I entered the room.

 I checked him out.

However, the moment he stood up,  my heart raced. It was like my spirit was crushed.

"Kevin". I furrowed my brows.  Didn't the doctor say he would be fine, why was he looking so cranky like he was not having any food at all?

"Don't worry about me, I will be okay."

He limped towards me and wrapped his arms around me. "I miss you" he lifted his head and looked at me . I was still in shock that I was tongue-tight to respond to him.

"Seth" he called again, bringing my attention to him. "It's fine, I'm here. I will do my best to come to see you every chance I get."

I wrapped my hands around him and patted his back.

"Here are the things, boss"

Salvador walked into the room with the things I got for Kevin. He would normally deny them but I will  not  do anything with them if I don't give them to him.

"Kevin" Salvador slowly placed the bags next to his bed.

He glanced at me before looking at Kevin.

"You have changed a lot." He sounded worried.  "There you go again, Salv. I will be fine" he let out a faint smile.

I diverted my attention and glanced around the room.

My cheek clenched in anger, when my eyes caught the side of a familiar female scarf on his bed.

"Who visited you?" I demanded in an angry tone.

He looked at Salvador and then at me, with quivering lips.

"I asked you a question, Kevin"

"Don't, Christian.  The boy is not in a good shape and you don't want to add to that."

Salvador stood up and whispered next to my ear.

" Nadia visited me yesterday and forgot that '' a tear rolled down his left cheek as he pointed at the scarf.

"Why did she come and why would Doctor Mark let her in, without my permission? After all the warnings"

I was so pissed off.

"Did she come to take you away from me?". I glared at him.

"No, she.." he broke down again and I was feeling bad for saying that.

"I will be right back " I stomped out of the room and hurried to Doctor Mark's office.

" Have you talked with your..."

He was seated and before he could finish, I leaned over his table and took him by the neck.

"How dare you, after all my warnings, let Nadia see my brother?"

I question with clenched jaws.  That woman was dangerous and could harm my brother even with people looking.

"She came crying and begging and I felt bad for her... ." He stuttered, with eyes rolling to the back of his head as I held the collar of his lab coat together with the stethoscope tightly around his neck.

She came begging and crying. Typical of pretenders.

I let go of him and he fell back to his seat.

"If you ever in your life,  let her close to this hospital or anywhere close to my brother, I promise to shut down this hospital and you will return to the streets.  Trust me when I say that."

He knew I meant my words. I had done this to many. I hate when people don't follow my instructions.

"Am I understood?" I glared at him, with narrowed eyes and he nodded.

"Doctor Mark, I was about to ..."

A familiar voice sounded at the door.

I turned around, and my eyes landed on the lady who came to my office the other day, hitting Dante's head and kneeling in the  balls.

"You...Mr. Christian."

She blinked her eyes at me.
