"What's in for today?" Alex asked, sipping on the coffee he had stopped by to get, as he walked through the door into my office.

Luna, his secretary followed behind. "Your mum called a few minutes ago and said to call her back when you get in.

"Anything else?" He asked, sitting on his chair in the office.

Luna stood in front of him, going through her Ipad to see what he had scheduled for the day.

"The Times called and they would love an interview. They are calling you the most eligible billionaire bachelor," Luna said and Alex smiled, letting the euphoria hit. He loved when magazines and the media talked about him that way.

He was the city's sweet boy and everyone loved him.

Everything was too good to be true and it was all just falling into place the way he and his dad planned before he passed away.

"Schedule a meeting for this weekend with their reporter."

"They would also like to talk about your intended partnership with Dawn's company."

"About that, have they called?"

"Not yet."

"Alright then."

"You can go now."

Alex was a bit nervous about the partnership even though he knew that he had everything under control because they loved his proposal.

He picked up the phone to call his mum back.

"Hello, Mum,"

"Hey, darling. I spoke to the dawn at breakfast."

"Mum, I told you I was going to handle it. You didn't need to."

"I just wanted to help, I couldn't just sit and do nothing. This is the biggest deal we have had in years."

"What did they say?" He asked, his heart beating faster than it was minutes ago. His mum stayed silent for a while.

"Mum!!"

The suspense was killing him and he just needed to know already if he got it or not. If they didn't, it would affect him for a while because he hated to fail. He had always won and excelled in anything he did and that was why he was the youngest billionaire in the city.

If he didn't get it, it would be the first deal he lost and this was the biggest one yet. Dawn's was another big car dealership company in the city and he had proposed they worked together on designing his next collection of cars.

"You got it!! You did it!!"

"What!!" He said, standing abruptly from where he was sitting, excitedly.

"That's amazing!!! That is!!! I did it!!! We did it!!"

"Yes, we did,"  She smiled.

"Your dad would be so proud," She added. "I know right."

Frank entered while Alex continued talking to his mum. Frank was one of his closest friends and they worked together too in his company.

"You look excited," Frank said after he had ended his call with his mum.

Alex moved closer to where Frank was standing. "I got it man, the partnership!!!"

Frank pulled him in for a hug. "I am so excited for you man, this is big!!"

"Yes, I know that!!"

"I am taking all the guys out for drinks tonight, let them know," Alex said, excited. He walked back to his sit, smiling from ear to ear.

"I will let them know," Frank said, smiling and sitting on the chair opposite Alex.

"I need the Tesla file," Frank asked.

While Alex searched for the file, Frank went through his phone messages and typed on an unsaved number.

"He got the contract, it's the time!! We need to act fast"

He pressed send, as Alex dropped the file on the table, in front of him.

He dropped his phone immediately.

"Here," Alex said.

Frank stood from where he was sitting, picking up the file.

"Thank you."

"Tonight, you guys!! Don't forget!! 6 pm at our regular bar," Alex said.

"Sure!" Frank said before stepping out of the office.

They got to the club, and the four of them entered. They all finished college together and had stayed together ever since as close friends.

"We have to turn this place up!!!" Alex screamed on top of the loud music.

"Drinks please, for all my guys," Alex said to the barman. Who prepared their shots and handed them over to them.

They all danced, screamed and were having the best time in the world.

Alex wanted more drinks, he felt on top of the world.

He sat by the bar as he ordered another round of drinks. He couldn't even keep track anymore. His friends were all over dancing and it was just him by the bar.

He looked to his side and his face met those of Steph. Her face was inviting and welcoming.

"Hello," he said and Steph Smiled.

"Today is the best day of myself, I just got the biggest deal of my career and I am opening a new branch of my company," Alex said, his speech slurred as he spoke. He was drunk.

"Today is the best day of my life too!!! I just got a promotion, which I have been wanting since I started my job. My life is great and my parents will finally know that I am not a failure after all."

"Let's cheers to us living our best lives," Alex said, raising his glass of shot and Steph did the same.

Their glasses clicked.

"Do you want to maybe get out of here?" Alex asked.

Steph then looked around for a bit to see if she would see Mia. After a while of scanning around with her eye, she noticed her in a corner with Mark and they were so engrossed in the conversation they were having.

"Sure," Steph said, turning back to Alex.

They both stood from where they were sitting and walked out of the bar.

They saw a cab in front of the bar and just got into it.

The cab was probably there to pick up someone else but they didn't mind as they chuckled and entered it.

"Just drive," Alex said in a drunken voice. "Here," he said, handing the driver his phone to show the direction to his house.

His house was just around the corner from the bar.

Steph looked out the window next to her sit, with her hands out in an attempt to catch the air on it. She smiled as the driver drove.

She tucked her head out through the window of the car, "This is the best day of my life!!!" she screamed.

The driver got to Alex's apartment a few minutes later. They wasted no time as they immediately got out of the car and into his penthouse.

Alex opened his door with his fingerprint as Steph followed behind. "This house is amazing!!" Steph said, admiring the architecture and design of the penthouse as she got in.

Steph chuckled "Are you like a billionaire or something?" Alex smiled and said nothing.

Steph moved closer to where he was standing. They were only an inch apart now, she could feel his breath on her face and the light was still on creating a romantic atmosphere.

"I have always dreamt of living in a place like this," Steph said and before she could say the next word, she felt his lips crashing on her.

She didn't hesitate as she held him tightly and pulled him even closer to her. They kissed for some time and then, he carried her and then moved into his bedroom. It felt like it was just the two of them in the whole world and they were living their perfect day.

They both weren't doing too much thinking and were just going with the flow.

Steph woke up the next morning with a splitting headache as the sun shone from a corner of the curtains into her eyes. She reluctantly sat up straight in bed, she rubbed her eyes with her finger and one of her contact lenses dropped.

She had forgotten to remove them the night before. She wore them when she was going out and didn't want to use her glasses.

She looked around the room and it was a bit scattered. Memories of the night before were cloudy in her head and she couldn't recall exactly what had happened especially with the headache she was having.

She looked to her side and there was no one there. She raised the sheets from her body and realized she wasn't wearing anything.

She spotted her dress on a chair by the window. As she was about to stand from where she was sitting, she heard the doorknob to the bathroom open.

Alex walked out with his towel around his waist and one other, in his hand as he cleaned his face.

Steph watched, as she tried remembering the night before.

"Who are you?" Steph asked.

"You're in my house, I should be asking you that."

Alex picked up his purse, brought out his Cheque book and wrote an amount on it.

"Here is your money?" Alex said, handing it over to Steph who was confused as to what was going on.

"What is this?" Steph asked, irritated.

"Your pay for last night!"
