Emelia's Pov

“I guess…” I looked into his eyes, searching them. I found nothing but sincerity and acceptance, “I'd be a fool not to accept your feelings for me.”

Kaidon’s eyes narrowed in a way that made my heart speed up. He repeated my words back to me, slow and almost amused, “A fool, huh?”

I stepped closer without thinking, because the space between us suddenly felt too wide, “Yeah.” I said. “A fool, if I keep pretending I don’t want this.”

Then I leaned in.

The world shrank to the warmth of him. My lips found his and everything else fell away. It was soft at first, a light kiss that merely sealed the acknowledgement of the feelings between us but then, after like three seconds, he deepened it. Kaidon pressed me against him, his hands fisting themselves in my hair.

The next thing I know is that he shoved his tongue into my mouth and he teased me so slowly that I almost moaned. I was able to choke back the sound of course but he continued kissing me. Everything feels so good and
