Azalea's POV

“Are you sure you’re not going?” Lara asked, waving the resort ticket in my face like it was the golden ticket to Willy Wonka’s factory.

I stretched my legs out on the couch and poured myself a glass of juice. “Nah. I just want to rest,” I shrugged, leaning back as I picked up the remote and flipped through the TV channels.

“Don’t you want to go chill with the billionaires on a Saturday afternoon?” She teased, popping a piece of popcorn into her mouth.

“Don’t forget the tickets are two. You can go if you want,” I replied without even looking at her, my eyes glued to the Netflix menu as I scrolled through the new releases.

Lara scoffed dramatically. “I can’t go without you. The tickets were specifically given to you, by Noah.”

She said his name with a tone that made me roll my eyes. “C’mon, it’s not that deep.”

“It is that deep,” she argued, but I was already focused on the movie I’d just picked. Some cheesy romantic comedy that looked like it wouldn’t require me to use my

Third person's POV“Your father’s downstairs,” Vivian, Escola's mother called, her voice filtering through the door with the urgency of a whisper and the weight of a warning.Escola groaned. Of course she knew her father wasn’t there to catch up. He never came for dinner, never for birthdays, his appearances were never about her. They were always for his image. For his politics. He doesn’t care about her, she was the scandalous secret he claimed would ruin him. Now, years later, apparently she was back on the chessboard to move around."Come on, Escola,” Vivian knocked again, more insistent this time.So she stood up. Depressingly, but she had no choice.Thursday nights were supposed to be hers: a quiet routine of self‑care and Netflix. Now that routine was demolished by her father.Escola walked out of her room, stepping into the dim hallway. The polished marble floor reflected the golden glow of hallway lamps. Her mother was waiting at the by of the stairs. She looked regal as ever

Ace's POV'Your flowers have been delivered.'That was the message that had been sitting on my phone for hours. I read it again, staring at the screen like it could give me some kind of answer.I let out a deep, long, and tired sigh. My head leaned back against the couch as I tried not to drown in everything life was throwing at me.A few days ago, I found out I was going to be a father, when medically, I wasn't even supposed to be able to get a girl pregnant. And now, I was being told I’d be marrying a complete stranger in two days to keep a father's company. What the hell was this life?“How did it go?” Angel’s voice pulled me out of my thoughts. She stood at the bottom of the stairs, arms folded, watching me carefully.“How do you think?” I let out a dry laugh, the kind that didn’t sound like humor at all. I rolled my eyes as I remembered my father's nonchalant behavior. He only wanted to use me like he always does.My eyes dropped back to my phone, to that message as my mind drift

  • The Billionaire's Perfect Mistake    Chapter 41

Ace's POVThe tires crunched against the polished stone driveway as I turned into the estate. The gate had opened automatically, just like it always did. Years had passed, but nothing had changed. The same tall hedges trimmed to perfection. The same white pillars lining the front of the house like soldiers. The same damn silence. It was still massive. Cold. Immaculate. The house looked more like a museum than a home. All glass and marble, with its grand staircase that curved like something out of a painting. I stepped out of the car slowly, and there she was.Angel.Standing right at the entrance. Her red hair whipped softly around her face in the breeze. Her arms folded tightly over her chest like she was holding herself together.I barely had time to open my mouth when a hard slap landed on my left cheek. The sound cracked across my face before I could breathe.“You fool,” she hissed, voice shaking but full of fire. “Mom is upstairs. Go check on her.”She turned to walk away, but

Azalea's POV“Wakie wakie!” Lara’s voice rang in my ears like an alarm clock I didn’t ask for.I groaned, dragging the duvet over my head.“Are you not going to work?” she asked again, this time tugging at the blanket like a persistent child.I peeked out slowly, my body aching all over. My eyes felt swollen, probably from all the crying I didn’t remember doing.“I’ll go get ready,” I mumbled, sitting up as if the weight of yesterday was still pressing down on my spine. The moment my feet hit the floor, I regretted standing. But I pushed myself. I moved toward the bathroom, washed up, brushed my teeth like a zombie, and threw on a clean shirt and soft pants. Makeup was out of the question, I didn't have the energy to fake anything today. When I came out, Lara had already made breakfast. The scent of something warm and buttery filled the small apartment. She stood at the kitchen island, plating pancakes and eggs with a little too much cheer.“I figured we both needed carbs,” she said,

  • The Billionaire's Perfect Mistake    Chapter 39

Ace's POVI couldn’t sleep. My body was on the bed, but my mind kept replaying the moment again and again like a broken film reel stuck on the most painful scene. What the hell was wrong with me?I turned on my phone and stared at the screen, the glow making my tired eyes sting. I scrolled through my contacts until I landed on her name, Azalea. I’d never saved it intentionally. I got it from her business file. Technically, I stole it. But at this point, I didn’t care.I hovered my finger over the call button, but I couldn’t press it.What would I even say? That I didn’t mean to say it that way? That I didn’t mean for her to hear it like that?God.The words I’d spoken earlier echoed in my mind— 'I accept that I’m the father.' Loud. Angry. Defensive. Why the hell did I say it like that? Why did it have to come out in the middle of a damn shouting match with Noah? As if I was trying to win a fight, not confess something real.I sat on the edge of the bed, elbows on my knees, running bo
