She remembered being so cold; then, she suddenly felt very hot. Charlotte didn’t know what happened next, but when she opened her eyes, she found herself in a spacious room. She was on a big bed, and everything else was white. There was a wristband on her slender arm, and she was only wearing the shirt she had underneath her sweater.

“Mommy?” Charlotte called out, but there was no movement in the spacious room. She turned to the side and saw that the lounge-looking area was still undisturbed. No one had gone there to find her; her mommy had not gone to look for her.

“Mommy?” She called out louder as she left the bed. Her soles hit the floor, and she immediately thought of looking for her slippers. Her mommy said she should always take care of her feet. There was a pair waiting at the side, so Charlotte took them before heading outs
