Arielle

Emris kept glancing into the rearview mirror, his eyes narrowing as he tried to figure out which car had been tailing us. “Hold on,” he muttered.

Without warning, he took a sharp turn and looped back into another lane. A second later, he spotted it.

The same car Nathan had been driving.

Emris let out a low breath. “I think it’s your boyfriend.”

I turned sharply. “What?”

He smirked. “Guess he doesn’t want to let you go.”

I ignored the teasing and looked through the back

  • The Billionaire’s Pretend Wife    The Day I Graduated

Arielle It was time for graduation!I couldn’t explain the feeling I was experiencing right now. I just couldn’t comprehend it.Tiffany said she felt like disco lights were inside her stomach, vibrating. Tessa said she felt like she was on a red carpet with cameras flashing across her face. But me? I couldn’t explain the feeling. Especially when I spotted Darius taking a seat in the hall. And my grandma. Mrs. Lilith came with her, and they both looked so amazing. I was literally blushing.I guess it was finally time to introduce them to each other. My grandmother had always wanted me to be with a man who loved me more than she did. And that was why I remained single after Michael broke up with me. Because I knew I needed to raise my standards. And now, seeing Darius, I knew for sure that I had made the right choice. The hall suddenly grew quiet when they started calling graduates’ names. Tessa was the first among us to be called. I clapped till my hands turned red. I yelled he

Arielle About three minutes later, Darius stopped at a nearby restaurant. We went inside and ordered different meals. Anytime I looked up at Darius, he was already staring at me. He could literally read me. How the hell did he always do that?I kept looking back at Tiffany whenever I wanted to avoid his eyes, but somehow he still couldn’t take his eyes off me. Tiffany suddenly spoke, probably trying to break the silence. “So…how has work been, Darius?”“Yes, tell us about work,” I added eagerly. Darius chuckled and looked at Tiffany. “Work’s good,” he said before turning his face back to me. Then to his meal. A brief silence followed. Tiffany and I exchanged a glance. “Work’s good?” She repeated. “Yeah, you don’t gossip?” I asked, surprised by how calm he was.His smile remained. “Gossip’s not good for business.”Tiffany and I hummed softly before going back to our meals. “Well, it’s good to hear that. Amazing.” Tiffany said before staring at me. Before any of us could spea

  • The Billionaire’s Pretend Wife    The Wedding Plans

Arielle Darius didn’t say a word to me on our way back upstairs. He just looked helpless and frustrated. I felt sorry for him at that moment. How had he never shed a tear over everything he’d been through? If it were me, tears would’ve already filled my eyes. I never knew how to handle emotional distress. By the next day, Darius and I exchanged our usual pleasantries before getting dressed for work. I was glad to see he was in a good mood. His employees welcomed us as though they were just meeting us for the first time. They handed me so many presents and flowers that I couldn’t stop staring at. I was more than delighted. I could already feel myself becoming famous. I also met some of Darius’s business partners during the meeting, except for those Asians. I was hoping they’d come for the wedding. At the same time, I felt bad because I hadn’t shown up for them when they needed me. I didn’t show up for Anna’s weddings. A few days later, my friends and I started preparing for th

  • The Billionaire’s Pretend Wife    Another Family He Murdered

Arielle Ryder lowered his eyes and walked back to his chair. It took him almost two minutes to speak again. “When I found out,” he finally said. “I confronted your father, and he didn’t even deny it. He said he’s been the one taking care of me and my twin…and training us since we were five. So according to him, I had no right to be angry.” What the fuck? “That was when I knew…it was time to quit,” he continued quietly. “I wanted to be on the good side for once. So yes…I know what it means for someone you love to die at the hands of someone you call family.” He paused. “Your father and my twin brother…they were my family.” I studied him carefully. “I’m sorry about your parents,” I said. “You must be think you wouldn’t have turned out like this if they were still alive.” He scoffed. “Yeah, and my twin wouldn’t be in this mess either.” A brief silence settled between us. “That’s why I need to know what’s coming for me,” I said. “Please. Just tell me what you

  • The Billionaire’s Pretend Wife    A Darker Truth

ArielleDarius got on the bed slowly before leaning down and kissing the top of my forehead. He loved doing that. “Thank you for choosing me,” Darius whispered, kissing my neck gently. “God, I love you so much.”I smiled and touched his hair. “I love you, too.”His breathing grew heavier as he buried his face against my neck, leaving soft kisses there before I could even gather my thoughts.Gosh, I was so excited. I pulled off my dress and watched as he slipped off his pants. He leaned closer, brushing his lips against mine as he sighed softly into a kiss. My pulse raced as the moment he grew more intimate. Darius kissed me slowly, making every second feel deliberate. Then he pulled me closer. I became speechless. My eyes remained locked with his as I struggled to catch my breath. I couldn’t explain the feeling. I only knew that I wanted him close. My hand slowly moved down to his groin. I moved it back and forth slowly.“Don’t stop,” I whispered. “I really want this.”Darius

  • The Billionaire’s Pretend Wife    Private Things

Arielle Tessa paused. “I know my eyes don’t deceive me,” she finally said. “That’s Summer’s sister.”My brows shut up. “What?”“She’s Summer’s sister. Her name’s Jasmine.”My eyes widened. No wonder she felt familiar. She looked so much like Summer, but in a subtle way.Like…what in the hell? For a second, I got scared. I thought she knew something about me, or she was someone connected to my past.I guess I needed therapy. “I need to call Summer and let her know that her sister is back in town.”Just as Tessa said those words, Jasmine’s eyes found me. I forced a smile. She bowed slightly before looking away. “Wait,” I said, turning back to Tessa. “Are they not on speaking terms?”“Not really,” she replied. “Jasmine abandoned Summer when she started her first year. She came once or twice, but Summer wasn’t around.”I frowned. “What? Why? Aren’t they sisters?”“Same blood,” she answered quietly, nodding. “But they don’t really like each other. It’s really complicated.”She paused
