Chapter Five

Tia sat on her bed that after she left Hera's place and she knew that she had to do something. Her father was still unrelenting about his decision to have her get married to William, he had portrayed as much that day when she came back from Hera's place. It might even be that the only choice that she had was to tell William about Lloyd. Tia closed her eyes as she imagined what would happen if William heard what she had to say.

Tia sighed as she realized how alone she was in, in a house full of siblings. Her brothers were there but they really did not care about her that much, they were just interested in the company.

Tia's phone rang yet again and it was William on the phone. The imagine of him on top of the brunette was still hitting her, she was not ready to have a reasonable conversation with him, even if she might not have any other choice than to marry him, he had still cheated on her over and over again and he hurt her in many ways. It was best that they went their separate ways but William would not agree because it seemed that he wanted the company too. When she was younger, she deluded herself that William actually liked her, it took her a while to realize that he didn't, but then she believed that he would learn to love her with time, and then when he  proposed to her and when they had sex, she felt that the time for him to love her had come, it only made her feel more hurt when she found out that he was cheating on her at the end.

Tia knew that it was time for the relationship to end, it had gone on for too long. She knew what she wanted to do when she picked up the call.

"Hello, Tia, thank God you picked. I am really sorry Tia. Can we just see each other this evening, I will explain all that happened. I do not want you to over react, it is not what you think," William said when she picked up the call, he did not even wait for her to talk. Tia wondered why he was still calling when he already told her father about what happened and he already knew that her father would definitely force her.

"Pick me up by 8," Tia said to him. She was going to tell him what happened, she would tell him that she slept with someone else, that would be enough.

"Oh okay, I will be at your place, I will come early," William said. He sounded very surprised that she agreed, she could not blame him for that.

"Okay," Tia said and she stops up and went to her wardrobe. She had to scatter the entire wardrobe before she found something slutty enough for her one night stand the previous night, but this time, she did not need to search for long to see something baggy enough to repulse a guy. She wore a grey drab dress and cleaned her face from every form of make up, she wrapped her hair and put on a pair of slippers. She was ready to leave.

Tia always dressed pretty for the few dates that she had with William, which were usually planned by their parents so that they would have some time together. Tia would fuss over what to wear and also her makeup and hair, only for William to come looking very casual, as though he was dragged.

The dress that she wore was payback for him. Tia went down the stairs when it was passed eight and she saw William seated in the living room with her father. They were both talking about something.

"Good evening," Tia said and they both looked up, her father frowned when he saw her and Tia saw a slight look of disgust on William's face before he schooled his expression.

"Good evening, Tia, I see that you are ready to leave," her father said as William stood up, Tia nodded at her father and he smiled.

"Yes, we are," William replied for her as he moved closer to her and took her hand in his. Tia removed her hand from his by reflex, she did not want him to touch her. She had the vision of him with another woman and the hurt came back. Tia did not want Will to know that he hurt her, and a she walked past Will and started leaving the house.

"Are you not coming?" She asked Will when she got to the door and he was not there. The man that she was meant to marry as stuck for a moment, he faltered before he nodded and moved to her.

William began to talk about things that Tia was not interested in and so she stopped listening to him and just walked to the car. Will seemed to take the hint and stopped talking till they got the restaurant. They got to the restaurant and Will ushered her inside.

"Isn't this restaurant nice? It is the upcoming place in New York City, all the stars visit this restaurant, I said I should bring you here," Will said as they got into the restaurant and she nodded. Tia looked around and she did admit that the restaurant looked very nice. It was classy and definitely top class. She was clearly under dressed, but it was all for a purpose.

"It is nice," Tia said and picked collected the menu from the waiter, she looked through the menu and she ordered the cheapest thing.

"Oh don't worry sweetie, we should both have the special today, don't you think?" Will asked and Tia felt angry. There were parts of the relationship that she did not see before coming to light, he always ordered for her, even times like these that she wanted something else, he always ordered what he wanted from her.

"It is fine," Tia said. She calmed herself, it was the last day at least, she could bear being his fiancee for one last day.

"What is it with the dress?" Will asked. They were still waiting for the food and it was clear that it was something on his mind.

"I like it," Tia said with a smile. She smiled because she knew it would annoy him, she was right.

"I don't think it is very nice. It is too baggy. I will take you shopping tomorrow," William said and Tia closed her eyes.

"There is really no need for that," Tia said and the waiter brought their food. William smiled as the phone came in.

"I insist, I want to spoil you," William said again, there was no mentioned of what happened before. The apology that seemed would not leave his mouth before then was gone.

"Are you sure you are really sorry?" Tia asked him after the waiter left, she could not help herself, she was really pissed. Will could be so annoying.

William just laughed at that and continued eating his good, Tia did not even touch hers.

"I do not want to marry you," Tia said to Will again and he raised an eyebrow at her. It was clear that he did not take her seriously, he did not think that she could make such a decision and stand by it, she only needed to prove him wrong.

"That is old news Tia, it has all passed," Will said with a chuckle and tears stained Tia's eyes. She caught him with someone else the previous day and it was already old news to him. Her feelings did not matter to the man, she would not be happy with him.

"I slept with someone else," Tia said. She was so angry that the words came out even though she was not sure she wanted to say them.

"What?" Will asked, he shot up from his seat and quickly say down, he was clearly shocked.

"I had sex with someone else, I cheated back on you," Tia said again, she was smug this time, she wanted him to feel all that she did, all the pain she did.

William laughed then, it was not the normal easy going laugh, it was something more sinister.

"Tell me you are joking," Will said. He was holding the wine glass so hard that Tia thought that he would break it. Tia sighed and rolled her eyes. She did not feel he had the right to be angry, he slept with so many people during the period of their engagement and yet she did nothing.

"I am not, last night I went to a bar and took one night stand to a hotel, it was the best night of my life, not mediocre like being with you was," Tia spat. She knew that it was too much but she did not even care. It happened so fast that she did not know. William stood up from his chair and dragged her out, he was clearly trying to keep his calm. Tia wanted to dig her foot in the ground and not leave with him, but she was too shocked. Will pushed her into his car and went into the driver's seat.

Tia looked at him and saw that he was angry, his face was red and the vein in his head was ticking, he was grinding his teeth so hard. He held the steering as though he wanted to transfer all of his anger to the car steering.

"You fucking whore! The first chance you have you already fucking your way through New York!" William said and Tia gasped. She was shocked to hear such profanities from William's mouth and to think that they were directed at her. Tia wanted to shout back at him that she was not a whore that she had sex a total of two times but that could not be said by him who fucked all of the models and actresses, but she was too scared to talk.

"This engagement is over. It is fucking over! There is no way in hell that I am getting married to a hoe!" William shouted again and Tia began to feel fear and then sadness. It was alright for him to have sex with everybody but she did it once and she was the worse person on the planet.

"You are a hypocrite a big one. I do not want to get married to you anyway so you can keep your thoughts to yourself!" Tia shouted as they got to the front of her father's house. She found her voice then, she opened the door and stepped out of the car and into the. She was surprised to see that William stepped out too.

"Where are you going?" She asked as she turned back to look at him.

"Where do you think? To call off this farce of an engagement of course!" Will said and walked past her into her father's house. Tia was shaking when she entered into the house. The thought of what Will would do chilled her. He was going to tell her father that she slept with someone else, her father would be so angry at her.

"Tia!" Her father shouted and Tia moved from the door to the direction of the living room. William was standing with an angry look on his face. William's anger was annoying her more and more.

"Yes father," Tia said.

"I am calling off this marriage Robert, there is no way I can get married to a hoe that sleeps with the entire town," William said easily. Tia saw her father's eyes narrow in anger and felt that there was hope.

"Tia had a one night stand as a result of our little argument last night," William clarified and Tia closed her own eyes. Things were going to be bad.

"Is this true Tia?" Robert asked his daughter. Tia raised her head at her father and then nodded. Tia did not see the hand until I landed on her face, the flash of pain that she felt was nothing compared to the fact the betrayal that she felt.

Tia gasped and then tears came out of her eyes.

"I am so very sorry for my daughter's attitude William. I will deal with her. I just hope that we can continue with the plans for the marriage as soon as possible. I will make sure something like this never happens again," Robert said. Tia was shaking with anger and pain. They were talking about her as though she was not there.

"I don't know Robert, I will talk to my father and we will make a decision. I would like to take my leave," William said and walked out of their house. Tia could only hope that he would walk out of her life.

FabianFive years later"When I turned four, I had three birthday parties," ten-year-old William Lewis told his little sister, Natasha. Tasha, for short—the queen of the Lewis household—was not having it. Even if Tasha was just four years old, and even if she was just three years old yesterday, she was never one to back down from a fight, an argument, or even just a nice conversation."Well, this is just my first birthday party. I will be having three more this week. Four birthday parties since I am turning four," Tasha said and showed William the number three, before realising that she was no longer three and switching it up to four. I knew for sure that there was no other birthday party. Tasha's school friends, her teachers, the children of the staff, her cousins—yes, finally, my children now had cousins—Grandma, Uncle Eric, Aunt Tricia, everyone else was here for one big party. The party was in full swing already, and Tasha was wearing the biggest ball gown I had ever seen on a fou

AraI woke up feeling sated and happy. Everything was perfect. Well, technically, it wasn't, and nothing could be perfect. I didn't really believe in perfection, but at that moment, it was perfect for me. It was what I wanted — to live a peaceful life where everything was fine. And that was what I was feeling right now: peace."Happy Anniversary, Babe," I said to my husband and kissed him on the lips. We were still in bed together, and he was just waking up. He still looked a little sleepy. He looked so handsome and perfect when he stared at me like that."Happy Anniversary, baby," he said and reached out to me, pulling me back to the bed, on top of him.I just chuckled."I can't believe we have been married for six whole years," Fabian said with a smile. It was a wonder, really."It might be the fact that we have only been together for two of those years," I said. I was joking. Things were so good now. We could laugh at how tumultuous our relationship was in the early days. The past

AraEverything was over. It was okay. We would finally have the chance to live our lives again. The past was over, and it would not be easy to just forget about all that happened and move on, but at least Quincy was in jail. He would be punished for his crimes. We could live our normal lives, try to improve the business, be happy now.And that was what we did for the next few weeks. We had this talk together. It was almost like the first time we were free, so we spoke about everything. We laid ourselves bare, and we were ready to start all over again. It would be perfect. The time was right. It was five years into our marriage. We would grieve the loss of our child together and try to build our family, for William's sake and for our sake as well. At this point, we needed this. We even started planning another trip to Maldives. Maybe we would take William with us, to bond together, but we agreed that it would be best for us to go alone, especially to Maldives. We would think of somethi

AraIt felt like it had been an eternity since I came back to New York with this whole plan of revenge. In reality, it was nine months ago. And now, today, everything would finally be over. I would get justice, my father would get justice, and even William and Fabian would get justice. The case had progressed fast, and it was the sentencing of Quincy. Finally, he was going to be put in prison. The case had been wild. The entire case had been pushed forward because, basically, there was evidence. It was not a question of “Did Quincy do it?” It was more of, “Was he well when he did it?”Fabian and I were living our lives after our baby's birthday. We had spent time together. We even celebrated our fifth marriage anniversary together. Not a big party, we just talked about it at dinner. It felt like all was over. It was time to move on. At the same time, I knew that it was not time at all. We could not move on yet. Quincy's case was still in court. It was the one last thing that we had to

FabianWilliam's party was splendid. He was very excited about it, and he even thanked Ara and I profusely. I could tell that he would not keep quiet about this for as long as possible, until maybe something bigger came along, maybe Christmas, and he would talk about that endlessly instead.I really enjoyed being around the children, and surprisingly, the entire thing made me feel young again. I even jumped with the kids a few times. This evening was the dinner that we would spend with family, and I knew Ara did get an inflatable pool that came with a slide and all. It was going to be a surprise for William, along with the children of the staff that we didn't tell him we were inviting. I was excited for both. It would be like the school party, but on steroids. I was a bit worried that it would get out of hand and concerned that I would not be able to be a part of it, but that was for a little while. I expelled all negative thoughts from my mind after then and focused more on how much

Ara"I am having the best time!" William screamed. He was jumping up and down his castle. He did look like he was having a swell time. I had to give him that. I was so happy that William was happy. It made all the work that I put into this party so worth it.The day we made the list, Fabian, William, and I went to the market. We did take the chef with us because she was the one that typically worked on things like that, and it would make our day easier to do that. That was the best decision that we made.We went to the children's aisle to buy supplies for the party packs first, something that we shouldn't have even thought about. I just figured that was the best, even if Alba warned me.William became so excited and animated there. He wanted everything. He could technically get everything, his parents were rich, and we were buying a lot of toys. But one did not just buy their kid every single thing on the shelf. The longer we stayed in the aisle, the more William found stuff that he r
