MasukLloyd thought back to the confusing lady as he drove back to his house, Tia she said her name was. She looked a bit familiar but he could not put his hand on it. She was much different the previous night though, if he knew that she would be so cold the next morning, he would not have bothered. She wasn't drunk when they met, he was drawn too her because she was easily the first person that attracted him, she was new, it was not so obvious but it was there. She wore a little black dress and her eyes held sadness. Lloyd figured she was probably nursing a broken heart. He knew that because it was that easy to notice.
He came to her and he started to talk to her. Tia was downing her drinks in such succession that he thought she was going to faint. She was drunk when she placed her lips on his, he was a little drunk too. Lloyd came to the club to unwind, the entire week, the entire year even had been hell to him, the stress was starting to get to him, he needed to just drink and forget for a while. Lloyd needed to be successful so bad and he was finally getting there, he was already there even, but he needed to sustain it.The drinks and the conversation with Tia was good, and she was very beautiful, sexy. She exuded innocence even as she was in a little black dress and in a club, it drove him crazy, he wanted her and he did have her.He knew that he had to be very careful with her as she was new and young, but she had initiated the contact and he was not able to resist. That night, his driver drove them both to the suite of his hotel, and they had such a wonderful night, it was long and very interesting. Lloyd would have never expected that little miss was so adventurous in bed.He would have not also expected that she would be so cold and indifferent when she woke up the next morning. Lloyd was already thinking about a sexual relationship for the both of them it would be the best, he had relationships like that over time but they usually ended up with the woman wanting more and Lloyd being unable and unwilling to give more than sex and gifts. He was willing to take the risk with her though, she appealed to him. It was really such a shame that she was not interested at all. She struck him as a prude that morning, it was definitely not what he would have used to describe her at night. Lloyd thought about the new deal that he had to sign with the Kingsley's the next week. He had to be very wise when dealing with them, he was laying his ground work for when he would able to take his revenge on them for what they did to his family. The Kingsley's were the reason why he had to struggle so much in his early life, why he had to lose so much, he had to make them pay.Lloyd plotted just how he could do that as he got to his house.~~~~~Tia looked at her phone, it was William calling, she would have not expected that. He barely called her, she did not even think that he still had her number after all the years. Tia looked at her phone for while, contemplating if it was best to pick up the call or to ignore it, she looked at the phone for a while and then the call was over. Tia was about to drop her phone, she was not in the right head space to talk to William. She just cheated on him, she was still trying to wrap her head around what happened. They were still bound by their betrothal, and now he was calling her again. What did he want?Tia tried to calm herself with the fact that William had cheated first, that he had cheated multiple times, and that she did not fault him them. She was just so broken after this time because he had given her a ring and that made her feel that he was willing to get serious with her, he made things even worse.Tia's hand shook as her phone began to vibrate again, it was another call from William. She sucked in a breath and then picked up the call. She had to talk to him eventually."Hello," Tia said with a shaky voice as she took the phone call. She was overcome with guilt, it felt like William could tell that she cheated on him from the other side of the phone."Tia, I have been trying to get to you for so long. I am sorry, I really I am. I am very sorry for what I did, I was a fool. I know there is no excuse for what I did, but it is not what you think, things are not all that clear," William said. She could hear the genuine guilt in his voice, it shocked her. This was a part of William she had never seen before. He had broken her hearts several times over her adult years, from rumors of dating actresses that he never debunked, to pictures of him kissing some model, and then full blown relationships with some society queen, he did all of that but he never once apologized. William would come for dinner in her house the next weekend and eat with her father and mother and he would watch when they called them fiancees and he would not say anything about it.Then again, all those times she never approached him about his betrayal, she usually cried in her room and to her friends she comforted herself with the thought that love came with pain. This time, after William had given her the ring, she had been ecstatic, happy, she felt like all of the things that happened in the past were all over, in her head they never even existed before, she had gone to William's place to surprise him, after all she was a real fiancee now and that was fiancee's did. Tia never expected to find him with another woman because he was her fiance and she trusted him to be loyal to her, she was so wrong in many aspects.Tia had walked into his penthouse to see him giving another woman back shots. She was given the surprise her self as she cried out in shock then and ran out of the house. Her tears had flown hot and heavy and she was in so much pain. William had seen her and he tried to hold on to her, but she ran out and left him. After that she went home and decided that she could no longer pine after the same man all her life, that was how she went to the club, and ended up having a one night stand."Are you there? Please Tia, forgive me," William continued to beg."I don't want to hear this," Tia said. She truly did not want to hear all of that, on top of the fact that he hurt her, she was no longer faithful to the betrothal. She could not continue with it. There was a time that Tia would have thought that she would never be with someone other than William, that she would never enjoy being with someone that was not William. She closed her eyes as she remembered the first night she had sex, it was after William had given her the ring, it felt a bit uncomfortable and painful, but it was beautiful for her because it was with someone that she loved. She had been keeping herself for him because why sample the world if you already know who you would marry. She felt then that no one would satisfy her the way William would. Lloyd, her one night stand had proven her wrong. Tia was sure that if she could find sexual satisfaction again, she could find love. It would not be so hard. William also made Tia feel like she was not good at sex as he refused to have anything to do with her after that one time, that one round. Lloyd on the other hand had wanted to have a sexual relationship with her after the one night stand, it made her feel beautiful in a way."I don't think I can do this anymore. I know that I cannot do this anymore. This betrothal is over, my father will speak to yours, we are not well suited," Tia said in a well clipped voice, it was easier for her to say the words after her little sexcapade, she has more guts to want more than she had been told that she was going to get as a child."What? Why? Just because of one little fling Tia? She was not worth anything. The sex meant nothing to me. I don't know why you want to ruin what we have because of that," William said. He was beginning to sound angry, just like the Will she knew. The one that did not beg. Tia was pissed that he had the right to call what he was doing a little fling. Maybe it was because she was going home from doing something like that, something related kind of, and she would not like to be called a fling."What do we have? What do we have other than the betrothal that we both know that you do not want? I am doing you a favor Will, I am ending this because you do not have the balls to do it yourself. See you in another life," Tia said and disconnected the call. She did not know what got into her but she was tired, she was sick and tired of being pushed around.FabianFive years later"When I turned four, I had three birthday parties," ten-year-old William Lewis told his little sister, Natasha. Tasha, for short—the queen of the Lewis household—was not having it. Even if Tasha was just four years old, and even if she was just three years old yesterday, she was never one to back down from a fight, an argument, or even just a nice conversation."Well, this is just my first birthday party. I will be having three more this week. Four birthday parties since I am turning four," Tasha said and showed William the number three, before realising that she was no longer three and switching it up to four. I knew for sure that there was no other birthday party. Tasha's school friends, her teachers, the children of the staff, her cousins—yes, finally, my children now had cousins—Grandma, Uncle Eric, Aunt Tricia, everyone else was here for one big party. The party was in full swing already, and Tasha was wearing the biggest ball gown I had ever seen on a fou
AraI woke up feeling sated and happy. Everything was perfect. Well, technically, it wasn't, and nothing could be perfect. I didn't really believe in perfection, but at that moment, it was perfect for me. It was what I wanted — to live a peaceful life where everything was fine. And that was what I was feeling right now: peace."Happy Anniversary, Babe," I said to my husband and kissed him on the lips. We were still in bed together, and he was just waking up. He still looked a little sleepy. He looked so handsome and perfect when he stared at me like that."Happy Anniversary, baby," he said and reached out to me, pulling me back to the bed, on top of him.I just chuckled."I can't believe we have been married for six whole years," Fabian said with a smile. It was a wonder, really."It might be the fact that we have only been together for two of those years," I said. I was joking. Things were so good now. We could laugh at how tumultuous our relationship was in the early days. The past
AraEverything was over. It was okay. We would finally have the chance to live our lives again. The past was over, and it would not be easy to just forget about all that happened and move on, but at least Quincy was in jail. He would be punished for his crimes. We could live our normal lives, try to improve the business, be happy now.And that was what we did for the next few weeks. We had this talk together. It was almost like the first time we were free, so we spoke about everything. We laid ourselves bare, and we were ready to start all over again. It would be perfect. The time was right. It was five years into our marriage. We would grieve the loss of our child together and try to build our family, for William's sake and for our sake as well. At this point, we needed this. We even started planning another trip to Maldives. Maybe we would take William with us, to bond together, but we agreed that it would be best for us to go alone, especially to Maldives. We would think of somethi
AraIt felt like it had been an eternity since I came back to New York with this whole plan of revenge. In reality, it was nine months ago. And now, today, everything would finally be over. I would get justice, my father would get justice, and even William and Fabian would get justice. The case had progressed fast, and it was the sentencing of Quincy. Finally, he was going to be put in prison. The case had been wild. The entire case had been pushed forward because, basically, there was evidence. It was not a question of “Did Quincy do it?” It was more of, “Was he well when he did it?”Fabian and I were living our lives after our baby's birthday. We had spent time together. We even celebrated our fifth marriage anniversary together. Not a big party, we just talked about it at dinner. It felt like all was over. It was time to move on. At the same time, I knew that it was not time at all. We could not move on yet. Quincy's case was still in court. It was the one last thing that we had to
FabianWilliam's party was splendid. He was very excited about it, and he even thanked Ara and I profusely. I could tell that he would not keep quiet about this for as long as possible, until maybe something bigger came along, maybe Christmas, and he would talk about that endlessly instead.I really enjoyed being around the children, and surprisingly, the entire thing made me feel young again. I even jumped with the kids a few times. This evening was the dinner that we would spend with family, and I knew Ara did get an inflatable pool that came with a slide and all. It was going to be a surprise for William, along with the children of the staff that we didn't tell him we were inviting. I was excited for both. It would be like the school party, but on steroids. I was a bit worried that it would get out of hand and concerned that I would not be able to be a part of it, but that was for a little while. I expelled all negative thoughts from my mind after then and focused more on how much
Ara"I am having the best time!" William screamed. He was jumping up and down his castle. He did look like he was having a swell time. I had to give him that. I was so happy that William was happy. It made all the work that I put into this party so worth it.The day we made the list, Fabian, William, and I went to the market. We did take the chef with us because she was the one that typically worked on things like that, and it would make our day easier to do that. That was the best decision that we made.We went to the children's aisle to buy supplies for the party packs first, something that we shouldn't have even thought about. I just figured that was the best, even if Alba warned me.William became so excited and animated there. He wanted everything. He could technically get everything, his parents were rich, and we were buying a lot of toys. But one did not just buy their kid every single thing on the shelf. The longer we stayed in the aisle, the more William found stuff that he r
