Chapter 21.

(Kim's Point of View)

Nervousness was an understatement to what I felt as I finally arrived at the entrance of LGPC and my heart took rapid beats as I collided with Ryan at the entrance.

"Kim!" He beamed at the sight of me and I returned the smile, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear and I watched as his eye dropped on the ring on my ring. I immediately dropped my hand, noticing the look of disappointment in his eyes. Seemed like he didn't notice the ring on the day of the interview and I had my family surname on my resume instead of my husband.

"I didn't realize you are already married, Kim?" He questioned and I couldn't detect anything from his tone and the smile on his face seemed forced.

"Yes, I'm married," I answered and the words seemed somewhat right on my tongue and made my chest swell with pride for an unknown reason.

"Congratulations. I wonder who the lucky man is!" He exclaimed with a wider grin and dead eyes. "I believe this is your first day?" He wondered and I nodded.
