As they strolled home, Atticus babbling excitedly in his stroller, Adelaide couldn't help but feel a sense of closure. Running into Lucas had been a surprise, but it had also been a reminder of how far she'd come. She had grown, learned, and loved, and she had emerged stronger and wiser.
