38 | ONE CALM DAY

JOY

Everything was taking a turn for the wrong. I hated to say, but a man I thought was perfect had fooled me yet again.

My entire way home, I couldn't restrain my tears. I just wanted to get home and bury my head in a pillow, like I used to. I couldn't take my own thoughts anymore. He had a wife. A wife and a daughter! I never took him to be a liar.

When I looked at his daughter, I could see how beautiful she was. And I was sure so was his wife. Then why did he do this to me?

Worse, even after all of this, I still wanted him to at least try to explain things. As bad as it sounded, he didn't call or even text after that and it had already been two days since I’d last seen him with his daughter at the school.
