A VILLA FOR NEWLYWEDS

Elissa's face looked confused. She didn't understand what Edgar meant. Edgar smiled and tried to explain more clearly.

"I want to take you to a special place that has meaning for newly married couples. It's called the Love Villa, a small house by the beach hidden from the crowd."

Hearing what Edgar said, Elissa could only shudder. She could never imagine herself living away from the crowd. Never once had she vacationed in deserted places.

"No, thank you," refused Elissa.

"No, no! You can't refuse. You said yourself that the loser must obey whatever the winner wants," Edgar snapped.

"Damn, you're insisting."

"You made the challenge yourself. Hmm... are you afraid?" Edgar laughed at the end of his sentence.

Elissa's ears itched with Edgar's words earlier. "What are you saying? I'm scared. How could I be? I have nothing to fear except to God," Elissa immediately argued. She then ate all her sandwiches and drank her milk. "I told you, didn't I? Never underestimate Elissa Desmond."

Edgar laughed. "Ok!"

Elissa crossed her arms. She looked at Edgar with a sharp gaze. But when they reached the house Edgar was referring to, Elissa's eyes widened. She gulped, seeing what was in front of her now. As far as the eye could see, it was an empty house and no other houses. Only a small wooden house was on the edge of a secluded beach. A home overlooking the beach.

"Is this your own house?" asked Elissa.

Turning the door lock, Edgar turned his head back, looking at Elissa. He smiled and nodded. "It took me a long time to buy and build the land myself."

Elissa pricked her ears with her fingers. Her eyes blinked. She couldn't quite believe what Edgar was saying. "I didn't hear it wrong, did I?"

Edgar shook his head. "I'm a project employee, in plain language, a coolie," Edgar replied. He then bent his arms to show off his muscles.

Instead of being mesmerized, Elissa knitted her eyebrows. Her mouth opened. Her eyes stared in disgust at Edgar for behaving this way. But Edgar didn't think anything of it. He just laughed and went in. Meanwhile, Elissa was still looking at the house in front of her. She was reminded of Elsa's house that she built herself on a snow mountain. If Elsa's house was a palace, Edgar's house was a hut. Simple. But Elissa admitted the house Edgar built was quite beautiful.

"Need help?" asked Edgar after putting his bag inside the house.

"No," Elissa refused.

"Ok."

Elissa went back to dragging her suitcase. She had been pulling the bag by herself from the moment she arrived. She never wanted to look weak, especially not to Edgar. There was not the slightest loophole that she would give Edgar so that he could be pretentious.

With difficulty, Elissa climbed the steps of the terrace. She thought her misery would be over, but she was wrong. When she entered and tugged at her suitcase, she found no room to put all her belongings.

"Where's the room?" she asked.

Edgar still needs to answer. He was drinking. Only his hand pointed to the corner of the house, toward the stairs that led upstairs. Only after Edgar finished his drink did he say. "The rooms are exclusively upstairs. Downstairs, there is only the kitchen and living room."

"Huh?" snorted Elissa in disbelief. Pulling the suitcase up the three steps of the terrace alone, she was almost out of breath. Let alone climbing dozens of steps to get to the room, she would probably faint.

"Need help?" asked Edgar again.

"No!" said Elissa once again.

"Ok!"

With her high sense of prestige, Elissa tried to drag her suitcase. And as expected, Elissa could no longer carry her bag to the sixth stair. She fell. Luckily, there was Edgar, who immediately caught her. Instead of blushing with Edgar, Elissa rebelled. She wanted to get down directly. Her body shivered as she fell into Edgar's arms, and she didn't like that sensation.

But Edgar ignored her. He just climbed the stairs while continuing to carry Elissa.

"Put me down!" she rebelled.

And because of her actions, Edgar lost his balance. They both fell. Edgar swiftly hugged Elissa and made himself a pedestal so she didn't hit anything.

"This is all your fault. That's why you let me go!" Elissa scolded. She held her head. Even though Edgar had protected Elissa's head with his hand, Elissa still hurt.

Elissa also checked her arm, just in case there was a blister. But nothing. There were absolutely no cuts or bruises. Edgar protected Elissa's body with his body. But Edgar's heroic action still did not make Elissa amazed to him. She was even more annoyed with her husband.

"Watch out if it's repeated," threatened Elissa.

Elissa continued to check the condition of her body. After ensuring no injury, she realized Edgar did not respond to her words.

"Gar?" Elissa called out.

There was no answer.

"Gar?" she called again. This time, she also turned around. She saw Edgar, who was still closed.

"Gar?" she called a little louder. A little worry began to appear in her mind. Elissa also raised her hand, about to touch Edgar, but hesitated.

"Edgar!" Elissa shouted next to her husband's ear.

Still waiting for a response. Elissa sighed. She looked away and touched Edgar, trying to wake him up. Unfortunately, her actions were utterly fruitless. Edgar was still unconscious.

Elissa, who began to worry, immediately looked at Edgar. She touched her husband's head and then checked his breathing. But her hand could not feel Edgar's breath. Finally, Elissa put his ear to Edgar's nostril. But suddenly, she slipped, her lips touching Edgar's. And at that moment, Edgar realized.

Elissa immediately stood up. She hurried to the toilet. Unfortunately, she didn't know where the bathroom was. So, all she could do was go outside while Edgar was still digesting what happened. Edgar outlined what happened. It must have been from the impact earlier.

"Why did you kiss me? I only fainted, not drowned," Edgar asked. One of his hands was busy compressing the back of her head.

Elissa was still looking away. Her face was reddish. From childhood to this size, she had never touched a man. For her, she was too holy to hold on to the name of men. She never imagined that she would be kissing a man.

"Damn it! Why didn't I leave him alone? Why did I bother to check his breath!" she growled.

Elissa also looked back. Without answering or caring about Edgar, who looked like he was in pain, she just passed him. Elissa then stepped upstairs towards the room. There, she lay down and took a pillow. She smothered her mouth with it and screamed at the top of her lungs.

Edgar chuckled at that. He then touched his lips with his forefinger. Imagining him kissing her like that made him feel ashamed of himself. This state was also his first time kissing a woman.
