“Please don’t pay me for tonight.” Kiara uttered.

“No, you heeded to my request to be with me.”

“Please don’t. This is too much already, Phoenix.”

For a moment, Phoenix was silent, still staring at Kiara, weighing if he should pay her or not for she also needs the money but at the same time, Kiara does not want to take it for she would feel too bad if she would receive too much from him, and he doesn’t want her to feel bad.

“Please?” her voice was quiet, looking like a pleading puppy.

And slowly, Phoenix nodded and Kiara smiled, turning in a small chuckle as she brushed away a small tear at the side corner of her eye and turned the her swivel chair to face the table again, watching the hologram, completely fascinated at its magnificence, while Phoenix also watched her, completely enchanted by her beauty.
