Chapter 8: Stalking

Just then, Professor Smith's assistant approached him and whispered something in his ear.

Professor Smith hurriedly got up and walked around the sofa. He saw the girl who was playing a mobile game with her head down next to the table. His eyes lit up and he ran towards her with his arms wide open like a child in his 50s.

"Little girl?" The professor looked at Kourtney Elijah in surprise.

Huh? Still found out. Ever since she had made important progress on that project of hers last year, this annoying grandfather had been sending people to contact her, and she had refused him many times. Little did she know that this time he would find himself coming to the dinner.

"How did you consider the offer I made to you last time? As long as you join my team, my laboratory resources, you can use them as you like." Professor Smith stated his intention so directly that he forgot that there were a bunch of people around him watching them.

"No... I mean, thank you so much! But I don't need to jo
