"It was Amelia."

"She was the one who drugged me."

The words echoed in Ethan's mind as he tossed and turned in bed, finding it hard to sleep.

He wasn't expecting this kind of plot twist. What Anna said didn't make sense. Of course he could tell the two women had bad blood between them but he just couldn't see Amelia as someone who would stoop so low.

He didn't believe it. Amelia was an angel at heart, even though she tried to make herself look tough and cold.

There was no way in hell she would drug someone just to get a man. She didn't need those petty moves. With her beauty, she could have a thousand men groveling at her feet.

Perhaps he was so enchanted by her that he had become blind. But no matter how much he tried to be reasonable, Amelia didn't seem like someone who would go to such lengths.
