A Reward

Valerie stared at him in shock. She was astonished, but she had to get a hold of herself. “Mr. President?”

It came out as a muffle. She lowered her gaze immediately. How did he find out she was here? What was he doing there? Countless questions kept running through her mind.

Ethan smiled at her warmly. “Oh God! Why am I being mesmerized by his charms?”

“Baby, I know I told you that I wouldn't make it. But you have nothing to worry about because I'm here now”.

Patricia stared at them confused. She was trying to understand the whole scenario. “This man can't be Valerie's boyfriend. She can't have someone like this as a boyfriend.”

Valerie was too shocked to speak, so Ethan started. “Good day ma'am. I'm sure you're so surprised that I showed up” He turned to Claudia, who nodded her head.

“I'm Valerie's… I'm her boyfriend” Ethan snapped, and Valerie choked immediately. She turned to him with her jaw dropped.
