Sienna stared at the ceiling, lying in bed long after Julian had fallen asleep. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t shut off her mind. The day’s events played on a loop, Damian’s piercing blue eyes haunting her thoughts.

She should have known this job was too risky. She had built a life, a home, a safe world for Julian. But now, with one twist of fate, everything teetered on the edge of exposure.

She turned onto her side, hugging the pillow to her chest. Maybe Olivia was right. Maybe she should walk away before it was too late.

But then what?

Her career was thriving. This project was the biggest opportunity she had ever been given. If she ran, she’d have to start over—again.

She couldn’t keep running forever.

No. She would handle this. She would stay professional, keep her guard up, and finish the damn project. And then, she’d walk away from Damian Cavendish for good.

With that resolve, she finally drifted into a restless sleep.

---

The next morning, Sienna stood outside the Cavendish Grand Hotel, a clipboard in hand and determination in her posture. This was just another job. Nothing more.

She stepped into the lobby, taking in the grandeur once again—the high ceilings, crystal chandeliers, and the sleek modern design that screamed luxury. A perfect representation of the man who owned it.

She had barely made it to the elevator when a deep voice stopped her in her tracks.

"You’re early."

Her breath caught as she turned.

Damian stood near the reception desk, his broad frame dressed in another immaculately tailored suit. He held a cup of coffee in one hand, his expression unreadable.

Sienna forced herself to remain composed. "I like to be prepared."

Damian took a slow sip of his coffee, his gaze never leaving hers. "So do I."

The weight of his words hung between them, heavy with unspoken meaning.

Before she could respond, Rachel, his assistant, approached. "Mr. Cavendish, the contractors are waiting upstairs for the final walk-through."

Damian nodded but didn’t take his eyes off Sienna. "Shall we?"

Sienna exhaled softly. She had no choice but to follow.

The penthouse suite of the hotel was breathtaking. Floor-to-ceiling windows offered a panoramic view of New York City. The open-concept design featured a marble fireplace, sleek furniture, and warm lighting that added a touch of intimacy to the grand space.

Sienna walked through, assessing the final details. The project was nearly complete, but she could already see areas that needed minor adjustments.

"The light fixtures need to be lowered slightly," she noted, scribbling on her clipboard. "It’ll make the space feel cozier rather than intimidating."

Damian, who had been standing near the window, turned toward her. "You always had an eye for detail."

Sienna paused, then forced herself to stay focused. "It’s my job."

He stepped closer, his presence overwhelming. "It used to be more than that."

She stiffened. "Damian—"

"Tell me why you left." His voice was quiet, but firm. Unyielding.

Her fingers tightened around the clipboard. "I already told you, I moved on."

His jaw ticked. "That’s not an answer."

She swallowed hard. "It’s the only one you’re getting."

A muscle flexed in his cheek. For a long moment, neither of them spoke. The tension was suffocating.

Finally, Damian exhaled sharply and turned away. "Fine. Have it your way."

Sienna let out a breath she hadn’t realized she was holding. But just as she thought she had escaped the conversation, he spoke again.

"By the way, we’re flying to Boston next week for the investor’s showcase."

Her head snapped up. "We?"

Damian smirked. "As the lead designer, I expect you to be there."

Her stomach dropped. A work trip? Alone with Damian?

This was a disaster waiting to happen.

That evening, Sienna sat across from Olivia at a small café, stirring her tea absentmindedly.

"A work trip?" Olivia repeated, eyes wide. "With Damian?"

Sienna groaned, rubbing her temples. "Apparently, it’s mandatory. Investors want a full presentation, and he expects me to be there."

Olivia leaned back in her chair, crossing her arms. "This is bad."

"You think I don’t know that?" Sienna muttered. "But I can’t refuse. It would look suspicious. And I need this project to finish smoothly."

Olivia sighed. "And what about Julian?"

Sienna exhaled. "I’ll have to leave him with you for the weekend."

"You know I don’t mind," Olivia said quickly. "But, Sienna, you’re playing with fire. The more time you spend around Damian, the harder it’ll be to keep the secret."

Sienna knew she was right.

But what choice did she have?

"I’ll handle it," she promised.

Olivia didn’t look convinced.

---

Meanwhile, back in his penthouse, Damian sat at his desk, scrolling through a file his private investigator had just sent over.

A file on Sienna Blake.

There wasn’t much—just professional records, past projects, a clean background. But something nagged at him. A missing gap.

Five years ago, she had vanished from New York. No record of major projects, no traces of her career during that time.

Why?

Where had she gone?

And what had she been hiding?

His jaw tightened as he scrolled further. Then, something caught his eye.

A hospital record. A birth certificate.

Damian’s blood ran cold.

Mother: Sienna Blake.

Father: Unknown.

Damian’s grip on the mouse tightened, his heart pounding.

A child.

Sienna had a child.

And if the dates were right…

His stomach twisted.

Could it be?

Had she—

His breath came hard and fast, rage and something else—something deeper, something terrifying—swelling inside him.

Sienna had been hiding more than just secrets.

She had been hiding his son.

  • The Billionaire's secret heir   Chapter 143: The New Dawn

The first light of dawn stretched across the compound, soft and hesitant, like the world itself was waking carefully from a long nightmare. Julian stood at the observation balcony, small hands gripping the railing as he looked out over the city below. The air smelled faintly of ozone, burned metal, and the lingering scent of a battle finally won. But he knew, as he had always known, that victory was never permanent.Sienna approached, quiet as a shadow, her hand brushing against his shoulder. “The city looks peaceful,” she said softly. “Like nothing ever happened.”Julian’s lips pressed together. “It’s an illusion. Peace is only temporary. Shadows always move in unseen corners. I can feel them—calculating, adapting, watching.”Damian joined them, placing a hand on Julian’s other shoulder. “Then we remain vigilant. We plan, we protect, and we anticipate. But right now… take a moment. We’ve earned it.”Julian glanced between them, eyes serious. “I’ve seen what’s coming next. Small movem

  • The Billionaire's secret heir   Chapter 142: Shadows Awaken

The night fell over the compound like a velvet shroud, soft and calm on the surface, but beneath that calm, currents of danger stirred. Julian sat in the observation room, staring at the city lights flickering in the distance. Each glow, each movement, was a potential thread of risk, a possible prelude to chaos. Even though The Hand had been fractured, the echoes of their operations whispered through every corner of the world, waiting for the right moment to strike.Sienna joined him quietly, settling into the chair beside him. “You look tired,” she said softly, her hand brushing over his. “You’ve done more than anyone could ask of a child.”Julian tilted his head. “I’m not tired. Not really. I just… I feel them.”Sienna frowned. “Them?”“The shadows,” Julian murmured. “The ones who survived. The ones who think they can take control. I can see their paths—small movements, signals, traces of intelligence. They’re scattered, but they’re out there.”Damian entered, rubbing his temple. “W

  • The Billionaire's secret heir   Chapter 141: The Final Move

The morning light poured into the compound in golden streams, cutting through the smoke, dust, and debris from weeks of unrelenting conflict. The city outside was eerily quiet, its streets empty, as though the world itself was holding its breath after everything that had happened. Inside, the compound was alive with nervous energy, but a strange calm had settled over the team.Julian stood at the center of the command room, his small frame upright, eyes scanning every monitor, every map, every thread of incoming intelligence. His presence had grown into something heavier than his age, a mixture of authority, intuition, and unspoken power.Sienna leaned over him, her hand resting on his shoulder. “You’ve led us this far, baby. Whatever happens today… I’m proud of you.”Julian gave a faint smile. “We finish it today. No half measures.”Damian paced nearby, fists clenched, tension visible in every line of his body. “This is it. Every operative, every resource, every strategy we have—it’s

The compound had transformed overnight from a fortress to a war room. Every corridor was lined with monitors, every workstation illuminated with maps, feeds, and probability simulations. Julian sat at the center, his small fingers tracing paths across the holographic map, eyes narrowed in concentration.Sienna stood behind him, exhaustion etched into her face. “You’ve barely slept. You need a break.”“I can’t,” Julian replied quietly. “They’re planning. I can feel the threads moving already.”Damian strode into the room, his eyes scanning the latest intelligence. “Three days, and The Hand has adjusted every attack vector we’ve predicted. They’re learning faster than we anticipated.”Mia looked up from her console, tension in her shoulders. “And every time they adapt, it’s not just the operatives—they’re feeding in rogue AI systems from Dominion remnants. It’s like a hive rebuilding from ashes.”Luka’s voice was quiet but sharp. “Which is why Julian is our advantage. No AI can replicat

The sun had barely risen, but the compound buzzed like a nest of disturbed hornets. Every team member moved with quiet precision, preparing for the inevitable confrontation. The Hand was no longer testing—they were coming. Full force.Julian sat at the center of the command room, his eyes scanning the city beyond the compound walls. His small fingers hovered over the console, not touching, but sensing, predicting, calculating. “They’ll hit at three points simultaneously,” he murmured. “Northern perimeter, the south gate, and the eastern lab. All coordinated. All lethal.”Sienna leaned over him. “Can you handle that?”Julian nodded slowly. “I can predict their moves… but I can’t stop everything. Not alone.”Damian tightened his jaw. “Then we make sure no one faces them alone. Split into teams. Cole, northern gate. Luka, southern lab. Mia, digital defenses and decoys. Sienna, you stay with Julian. Every move coordinated. Every second counts.”Outside, the first shadows of The Hand appea

  • The Billionaire's secret heir   Chapter 138: The Strategist's Move

The compound was a fortress on the outside, but inside, tension coiled tighter than steel cables. Every corner held the memory of the last assault, every shadow whispered potential danger. Julian sat at the center of the command room, eyes flicking across the monitors, scanning probabilities like threads in a web.Sienna rested her hand over his, grounding him. “You’ve done so much already, baby. You need rest.”Julian shook his head. “Rest isn’t an option. Not while they move.”Damian paced near the perimeter maps, tapping at coordinates, calculating response times. “Mia, any signs of their strategist yet? That’s who’s controlling these strikes, not the foot soldiers.”Mia frowned. “Not physically, no. But the patterns… they’re evolving. Every move we predict, they adjust two steps ahead. Whoever is guiding this is brilliant—and watching us constantly.”Luka leaned over her shoulder, eyes scanning the analytics. “It’s adaptive. Even more sophisticated than Dominion’s hive. But there’
