Clover’s POV

A few days pass, and all I can do is sigh and think to my self that my marriage is over, and now.... this is my fucking life.

Today, I have a meeting with Tracy. Hopefully, she can get me everything I need, from the information, to the paperwork, and everything else that needs to be dropped directly into Zade’s hands.

I call an Uber. It arrives almost instantly.

I step outside, slip into the backseat, and give the address to Tracy’s office. The ride is quiet, but my thoughts aren’t.

When I arrive, I check in with the front staff.

“Clover Smith, I have a ten a.m. appointment.”

The receptionist smiles politely. “Please have a seat.”

I continue the ruse.

I tap cautiously with my cane, pretending to feel for the chair even though I can see it perfectly. Slowly, carefully, and believably. I lower myself into the seat.

As I wait, the whispers start.

She’s blind, but she navigates really well.

She’s very pretty for a blind woman.

I see the scar on her eye, but she’s still beaut

  • The Billionaires Blind Reckoning   Our First Time

Explicit Scenes Ahead Zade’s POVI stood there like a complete fucking idiot. My brain didn't just stall; it was officially fried. She was a vision of other worldly beauty laid out on the bed in red silk clashing against her pale skin like a wound. Her chin was tilted, that familiar spark of defiance warring with the tremor in her hands. But it was the trust in her eyes that leveled me. It wasn't just desire. It was a surrender.“Zade?” Her voice was a soft tether, pulling me back from the thoughts in my own head.I let out a ragged exhale, scrubbing a hand over my face to ground myself. “Yeah. Yeah, I’m here. You just… you short-circuited me, Clover.”A real smile broke through her nerves, melting the tension in her shoulders. “Good,” she whispered, her voice dropping an octave. “Because I’m terrified.”That word was like a bucket of ice water. The predator in my chest went quiet, replaced by a fierce, protective ache. I sat on the edge of the mattress, refusing to hover ove

  • The Billionaires Blind Reckoning   Are We Really Doing This

Zade’s POV Flashback By the time seven o’clock rolled around, I was pacing back and forth in my room at the Sigma frat house, sighing every few seconds like that was going to calm me down. Are we really about to do this? Are we actually going to have sex?It wasn’t like I was a virgin or something, because I definitely wasn’t, but something about Clover felt… different. She didn’t strike me as the kind of girl who saw a good-looking guy and immediately thought, yeah, I’m sleeping with him. She wasn’t wired like that.Unlike Braylee. Her roommate was a wild child at heart. Everyone knew it. She’d been sleeping with Connor though for a little while now, and before him, a few other guys I knew. But this thing with Connor? This was the longest she’d ever stuck with one dude. Hell, they were even talking about going home to meet each other’s parents and shit. If you asked me, they were already in a relationship, they just hadn’t put a label on it yet.I chuckled to myself as I changed cl

  • The Billionaires Blind Reckoning   Trojan Horse Party

Zade’s POVI lean back in my chair and stare at the ceiling of my office, the city humming faintly through the glass walls. Sentinel Dynamics is alive around me, keyboards clicking, elevators chiming, money being made, but none of it touches me. Not really.Because all I can think about is my Clover, and how in thee entire hell did we get here. How I ended up trapped in a so called love triangle that was never a triangle to begin with. I don't ever remember kissing Daisy. I never slept with her. Hell, half the time I don’t even remember conversations with her the way she claims they happened. And that’s the part that messes with my head the most, because it feels like trying to fix a broken wheel by replaying the crash. It’s useless. The memory just… isn’t there. And I’m tired of chasing ghosts. Before I started sniveling in my chair reminiscing thinking how fast the weekend came and went without a word from Clover. No call updates. No text requests. No email messages from her lawyer,

  • The Billionaires Blind Reckoning   Hawaiian Luau

Clover POVFlashback ContinuedThe next day, Braylee and I were getting ready for the Sigma frat Hawaiian luau, and I knew we needed to talk.I leaned against the doorframe and crossed my arms. “Girl, we need to talk.”She didn’t even look up from where she was digging through her closet. “What’s the problem, bitch?”I sighed deeply. “Do you see the common area?”She frowned. “What do you mean? What’s wrong with the common area?”I shook my head slowly. “Braylee. There are your discarded underwear everywhere. Your old clothes, and there are used condoms and wrappers on the floor. Literally chick, on the floor. You didn’t even attempt to clean it up or throw anything away. I’m not touching that shit.”She smirked. “So you don’t want to touch Connor’s baby juice?”I gagged. “You are disgusting, and you’re going to have to buy me a brand new blanket. Thank God that wasn’t the blanket my Grandma Lola knitted for me. That one stays on my bed, because if she ever found out you were using m

  • The Billionaires Blind Reckoning   Meeting a Wilted Daisy

Clover POVFlashback ContinuedAfter a few weeks of dating, Zade and I were having a ball.He was taking me places I never thought I’d even go. We went to the beach and went surfing. We went to see the grunion run. He took me to Seattle, and we had such a good time there exploring the markets. And through all of it, we were really just dating with no sex involved. Just getting to know each other organically. Not just for show at frat parties. Or just dating only on campus. We were out there actually living. We visited small bistros, hole in the wall restaurants, hot dog stands, and ice cream trucks. Nothing obscene or overly upscale. Just simple, genuine fun, and that, that version of Zade, that was the Zade I fell in love with. The normal Zade. Not the one raised with money or a silver spoon in his mouth. It was a particular Thursday when he texted me.Zade: Hey, I’m a little busy, but I really need to meet you in the library. I want to run something by you for software engineering

  • The Billionaires Blind Reckoning   First Dates

Clover POVAs I continue to think about how I first met Zade, and how smooth he was, how into me he was, I can’t believe we’re here right now, getting a divorce. At that point in time, Zade was my everything.Yeah, I was a junior and he was a senior, and he came to that mixer trying to get business and future connections, just like Braylee and I were. But that day in particular? We were both caught off guard. The magnetic pull. It was almost like love at first sight. From that moment on, we were inseparable. And now here I am, pregnant, and the father of my child is no longer going to be my husband.I don’t understand how we got here.I remember our very first date. It wasn’t crazy or over the top in the way people might expect, especially knowing Zayd’s family had money. But he did something that caught my attention immediately, something that made me fall in love with him immediately.Flashback“Be ready at seven,” Zade says over the phone. “I’ll pick you up. Dress comfortably in
