Lucy's Pov

I could barely sleep a wink, my head reeling with the text and once the sun came up I rolled out of bed, heading straight for the shower. It took me two hours to get ready but my excitement didn't shake for a second.

By the time I had stepped out, Shane sat at the dining table taking a slice of egg. I lightened my step trying to sneak past him, my heart racing.

“Where are you going?" He asked with a straight voice and I froze, turning as slowly as possible.

"Hey, I didn't see you there," I lied, giving him a wide grin but he only stared back.

“Yes. I'm positive you didn't. Take a seat."

My heart raced and I glanced at the door. This psycho was going to make me late.
