Shane's POV

My hands were fixed to the steering and I sped faster. A figure jumped out of nowhere into the road and I quickly stepped on the brakes.

The figure gave way to an old man and he apologized, bowing his head. I didn't retaliate. He had probably not seen me coming and I was too fast. Either way, I would only cause trouble.

I got out of my car, and went to check on him. When I was certain he was alright, I returned to my car and waited some seconds before I started driving again.

My speed had reduced and I arrived at the suite in twenty minutes. Just as soon as my car door slammed shut, I walked into the penthouse, taking the elevator, going past the sleeping receptionist.

I got out of the elevator and past the attending bodyguards. I stopped just as I got to the door and was about to open it when it slid open.

Caleb appeared and greeted with a light bow. “Welcome, Master Shane.”

I didn't respond and walked in. “Where is she?” I asked as calmly as possible.
