Please Don’t Find Out 2

Callum’s pov

The chirping sound of the birds were the only things I could pay attention to as I walked out into the garden. As much as I tried not to think of it, Amanda’s words kept ringing in my head. She had sounded so livid.

“What did she mean by those words” I thought to myself, wondering if my previous doubts about her were true or not.

I headed back in, preparing to head out. I picked up my phone, calling Stephen to know where he was. I needed to seek his advice. He is the only one I can trust with personal matters.

“What’s your emergency?” He said as soon as I walked into the door, his eyes teasing.

“You seem put together, I expected Amanda to rip your head out” he continued, smiling as he poured us a glass of whiskey each. I was going to complain about the liquor that early in the morning, but I really needed it

“Amanda said she will ruin Sonya,”I blurted out, swallowing the drink I had in my mouth.

“Well that’s new”Stephen said, filling my cup again.

Callum's povI stared out through the window in my office, into thin air, I could not help the numerous thoughts charging at me all at once.Amanda and Stephen, my deal with Stacy and the fact that I was now probably the worst person alive to Sonya. I tugged at my tuxedo, adjusting it for what seemed like the hundredth time. “She is probably very close by,” I said to myself, as I pushed my hair to the back rapidly with my bare hands trying to look my best.I recalled how stacy had put a call through to me last night, gasping and out of breath from the guilt of our alliance and hiding it from Sonya. I had to reassure her yet again that I meant well to keep her from spilling the tea.The thought of how much Stacy cared for Sonya made me feel somewhat at ease. At least I was sure Sonta was not surrounded by evil people like I probably was.I took a deep breath and headed towards the office chair to continue my work before they arrived. Just as I settled in the seat, the door swung open

Sonya’s pov******I could not help but feel bad for Stacy, I could tell she was carrying so much burden and all alone. I could not quite tell what it was but I really wanted to ease her pain. I knew how she was feeling, for the past two days I had been buried in my work, trying not to think about Callum or his wife. A huge part of me hoped and prayed for the day when our newly acquired contract would be over since I could not terminate it. I wondered why he had not called for a meeting for so long, but then again I was thankful he kept his distance. I had no idea how I would bring myself to even look him in the eye.Stacy cleared her throat, bringing me back to consciousness.“What’s on your mind,” she let out, shoving her hair behind her ear. I took a deep sigh, she was the one I had been trying to console and in the blink of an eye she was already looking out for me. Stacy had always been a good friend and so I felt so burdened seeing her in this state.“Stacy, I am just fine,” I

Stacy’s pov******Callum’s words had my heart racing, the thought of calling off our little alliance immediately flashed in my head but I waved it off. I had to remind myself again why I was doing this.“This is for Sonya” I thought to myself, nodding.“Stacy!” Callum’s voice brought me back to consciousness . I paused for a bit, gazing at him but the man before me still looked so keenly at me, he was desperately in need of answers.I recalled how I had overheard Stephen and Amanda that night, how they had met secretly in front of Callum’s house. I did not think it was in my position to tell Callum if his wife and best friend were scheming, also it seemed like a dangerous path to thread.“Callum,” I called softly, clearing my throat as I began to speak.“I am only here to help you with Sonya, I know nothing about Your wife and Stephen,” I said sternly, hoping that would make him stop questioning me.“Stacy please, you have to help me on this,” he said, running his hands through his h

Callum’s pov******Stacy’s words reassured me, I was filled with hope just thinking of the agreement we had just struck. I recalled how Sonya had looked that day, how sad she had been when she found out about the public dinner I had with Amanda.“Amand!” I blurted out, recalling that I had not asked Stacy about Amanda and Stephen’s.“Arrghhh” I groaned, tilting my head to the back as I settled in my seat. I had been too occupied with winning Sonya back I totally forgot about Stephen and AmandaI took out my phone, navigating through the screen to put a call through to Stacy, but it was directed to her voice mail. I sighed, cleared my throat before I spoke.“Hi Stacy, I don’t mean to bother you, call me back when you get this we still need to discuss a lot of things” I said, dropping the phone back on the table as I looked around the house, reminiscing in my own boredom.I recalled how my life with Amanda was when we first got married, we had a blissful marriage like any other couple

HOPECallum’s pov******Stacy seemed very shocked to see me, I had to pull her by the hand to the back of my car, constantly looking around the estate to ensure no one sees me.“Callum!” Stacy glared, pulling her hands from mine in a very rough manner. I had no intention of hurting her, I had just been too excited to see her.“What is this about,” she yelled, giving me a deadly steer. I could not tell who did it better between her and Sonya.“Stacy, calm down,” I said, placing my hands on her arms to make her stable.“No Callum, What do you think you are doing…….” She continued to go on and on, drawing attention to us.“Stacy stop!” I yelled, watching as she got startled and paused for a bit looking me in the eye.“Stacy, I don’t mean to startle you,” I began,“I really need your help,” I added, looking intently at her and hoping she would help me.“I cannot help you Callum,” she blurted out, confirming my fears as she pushed her way out of the corner and headed into the house. FINDING THE LEADCallum’s pov**********I drove Amanda to the airport, the ride was a silent one. I kept stealing glances at her as she stayed silent all though.“Are you ok?” I asked, my brows furrowed. I really wanted to know what was running through her mind. She had been that way since she had that call with Stephen.“Em yes,”she stuttered, seeming uneasy. As much as I felt happy seeing her leave, a huge part of me still wanted to know why she had been in such an uneasy mood and what connection she had with Stephen.I watched her walk into the hangar at the airport, my mind reprocessing different thoughts. I knew I had to figure out what she was up to.“I cannot trust Stephen just yet, so who do I talk to,” I muttered to myself as I headed back into the car.“Sonya,” it suddenly hit me. “I should talk to Sonya” I said, starting the Infiniti on and stopping almost immediately. The wave of happiness I felt was immediately crushed when I recalled how Sonya and I had left things the
