Callum's pov

I glanced at the envelope on my desk, “Sonya” was boldly written on it. I could not tell what it was, but I knew a part of me longed for her.

As soon as I took out the first photograph in the envelope, my heart raced. Memories of how she had come into the office, and how sad she had reacted when she saw Amanda and I crept back in.

I sighed, hating myself for how I treated her.

I had a private investigator find information about her new life.with the consultation that I'd feel better once I find her and apologize.

“I am really sorry Sonya” I blurted, not realizing I had said it out loud.

“Who are you apologizing to ?” Stephen’s voice brought back my consciousness.

“ Nothing!.. Em.. No one Was that loud?” stuttering, I shoved the envelope underneath my desk avoiding further questions.
