Chapter 1

HATTIE’S POINT OF VIEW

I could never get used to the feeling. People will form opinions and pass judgments without knowing the whole story.

When I read the issue that was about me and the man I kissed at the bar the night before, I couldn't help but frown.

Because I'm not a conservative person. Whoever I want to kiss is completely up to me. Why is it that people can't understand that?

I let out a deep sigh and glanced over at Fannie, who was giving me a death glare. She was fuming mad at me.

"It was nothing more than a kiss, Fannie. I was completely unaware that anyone was watching me." I said to Fannie, my manager, and explained everything.

"Hattie, you are well aware that you are a well-known figure. What on earth are you pondering at that very moment, huh?" Her voice was filled with rage as she asked the question.

What is the significance of that to them? It was nothing more than a simple kiss. There was nothing inappropriate about that kiss at all. Oh my gosh! I am unable to kiss the person of my choice simply due to the fact that I am a public figure.

Why do I even bother working in this field? There is no privacy for me. However, I do not have a choice. Because of the money... and the ease with which one can make money in this industry, I was able to break into the modeling business.

I also need it in order to contribute to the orphanage that took care of me when I was young. The orphanage must raise a significant amount before it can avoid having to close its doors. As a result, I made every effort to donate money.

Fannie is there for me to help me and to give me money so that I can give any amount to the orphanage. I am happy now because the orphanage I used to live in is now growing and it is helping many more children than it did when I lived there.

I rolled my eyes up into the air and said, "It was just a kiss, Fannie, and the man I kissed didn't seem to care either," as I explained what had happened.

"A kiss that has the potential to destroy your career!" She let out a yell.

"God! Fannie Nobody could sabotage my professional reputation. It was nothing more than a kiss, and a kiss certainly won't end my career, "I retorted, feeling annoyed. "After that, there will no longer be a problem with that. How many warnings have I been given in total?"

"Are you familiar with the gentleman you kissed?" Fannie wanted to know what was making my forehead scrunch up.

"Why should it matter to me who he is?"

Incredulous, Fannie hissed and scoffed at the assertion. "His name is Inigo Dusk, and he is widely considered to be one of the most successful billionaires in the entire world."

"And? There is no reason for me to get to know him."

"And the wedding is coming up, but thanks to you, it won't happen. Due to the fact that the video and pictures have already been disseminated on the internet, I have no doubt that his fiancee is aware of it."

As I turned my head toward Fannie, I noticed that my mouth was slightly ajar. Is she going to follow through with it? Is it my fault that the guy I kissed last night is getting married, or was it fate? However, that guy appears to be having a good time.

But it was nothing more than a kiss. My one kiss won't prevent a marriage from happening. That overacting at that point. It was nothing more than a simple kiss and should not be overemphasized in any way. In order to avoid breaking the

engagement to his fiancée, we either refrained from having sexual relations in her presence or began a romantic partnership with each other.

Their wedding will go ahead even if the woman is lying about not knowing about it and acting overly dramatic about it. They will find each other, fall in love, and have a life filled with joy and contentment.

After I came out of the state of shock, all I could do was shrug. I broke eye contact with Fannie and looked out the window. Due to the fact that the curtain in my condo unit was open, I was able to see the cars racing down the road.

"You don't need to worry, Fannie; their marriage will last. It was nothing more than a kiss, and there was no ill will intended, "I said.

"It's nothing more than a peck on the cheek for you, but he won't give that to the woman he plans to marry. Hattie, you and I see the world through very different lenses." I was given an explanation by Fannie.

"Let's put it in your position: if you saw your fiance kissing someone else... Would you continue with your marriage?" It was Fannie's question that caused me to pause for a few seconds.

Should I still go through with the wedding even though I caught my future husband kissing another woman? Of course not! That is an unfair advantage. To me, it makes perfect sense.

"Shut you up?" Fannie asked.

"If it were up to me, I wouldn't continue with the wedding..."

"That sums it up nicely. You made a huge mistake, Hattie!" Then Fannie shrieked.

I let out a deep sigh. "I am completely helpless at this point. The harm has already been done to the reputation. I am unable to make any changes."

"Aside from that, I couldn't care less about them. At this point, all I want to do is sleep. I'm sorry to bother you, Fannie, but the hangover is still giving me a headache "I had no regrets about what I had done last night.

It is correct. I am completely helpless at this point. I am unable to travel back in time. I have already kissed that guy, and there is nothing else I can do about it. If they decided not to go through with the wedding, then it is no longer my responsibility.

"You are to blame for the headache that you are currently experiencing. Who told you that you had a few drinks last night ha??and caused a commotion?" In a huff, Fannie inquired of me.

I inhaled deeply and then turned my attention to my manager. Its eyes are focused on me as well, and they are quite sharp.

She continued by saying, "Hattie, if I hadn't been there for you and been a friend all this time, I would have left you a long time ago."

I refrained from speaking and averted my gaze. I engaged in some finger-based play. She was absolutely correct; if we weren't friends, she would have abandoned me a long time ago and watched my professional life descend into chaos.

"I'm sorry, but I seem to always be the source of problems, and I fear that this will end my career." I apologize to her, sincerely.

I thought I heard Fannie take a sigh of relief. "Hattie, there is no way to get around the problem. The world around us is fraught with difficulties..." She ceased his previous speech. She got to her feet and started walking in my direction before coming to a stop by my side.

"You only need to take measures to prevent it. Hattie, please refrain from discussing this matter, as we are both aware that you are currently working through a problem of your own. I won't get sick of helping you solve your problems, but..."

"It's possible that this will put an end to my professional life entirely, right? I have a lot number of followers, Fannie. My fans don't care about my past issues. They have affection for who I am." I cut Fannie off in the middle of her sentence.

“Always keep in mind, Fannie, that my problems can't bring an end to my career, and I want to thank you for always clearing my name.” As I sat down on the couch, I uttered my gratitude to her. I was sitting there with my legs crossed.

"My issues with Inigo will also pass now, and I promise you that I will never make trouble again," I said in a serious tone while simultaneously raising my right hand as a sign of my promise to never cause any more conflict in the future.

Fannie nodded his head. "I'm glad to hear that, Hattie," Fannie said.

Both of us were unable to speak. In addition, she was seated next to me. As I stared into the abyss, my thoughts wandered to the man I had just kissed the night before.

Even though he was about to get married, he seemed to enjoy my kiss.

“The notorious supermodel Hattie Scott was caught on camera making out with another guy at one of the bars in the Philippines, and the worst part is that the guy she kissed the night before is about to get married.”

“As a result of the video going viral on the internet, Inigo Dusk Thompson and Solutiana Marie Vergara decided to call off their wedding.”

Right now, my attention is focused on the television, which has been turned on. Fannie was the one who had the remote in her hand.

"How could they hold that against me?" I yelled out loud.

“Following the postponement of the most anticipated wedding, Inigo Dusk is currently standing in front of us conducting a live interview.”

I was fixated on the man whom I had just kissed the night before. His eyes were blazing with rage, and his jaw was clenched tightly.

“You will be responsible for everything, Miss Hattie Scott…”
