Chapter 116

"Why's everywhere so quiet?" Rose asked Magarita as they walked up the little stairs that led to the front porch of the orphanage. The front yard had tables and shelves with wares which were being sold but no one was with those wares and there was no one around who seemed like they were interested in buying any of the items displayed. Well, maybe it was because it was evening already. Rose was freezing. She had on a sweater and on top a long brown coat with jeans and boots but somehow she was still feeling cold. Magarita had given Rose her scarf to rap around her neck but Rose still felt chilled. It was from her being in the hospital without going out for days. Her body had gotten really used to the warm temperature in the hospital.

Magarita shrugged. She was holding Rose tightly and helping her with coming up the little stairs. Magarita was trying to be as careful as possible with Rose because the doctor had said she had some broke bone which were till healing so she was limping an
