Chapter 16

Nate’s POV

I drained the water from the cooked spaghetti while Avery sliced onion on the other end of the counter. I poured the drained water into the sink and opened the tap water, so the cold water can mix with the hot spaghetti water as it all slides down the drain. I poured the spaghetti back into the pot and covered it, before placing it back on the stove and putting it on a really low steam.

The pot for the sauce was already placed on the other face of the cooker, it was a four faced cooker and a lot of things can be prepared on it at once, I poured some oil into the pot once it had completely dried up, and it started to sizzle immediately, making a low popping echoed around the kitchen.

I squeezed my eyes shut when the scent from the onions which Avery was still slicing, started to penetrate into my eyes, causing it to sting a little.
