Chapter One Hundred Thirty Three

Henry palmed his forehead with his left hand. The whole non-stop drama that began the previous day was driving him insane. He was tired.

"What are you saying, Bloom?" Richard flared up. "Are you saying my son tried to kill Eve? What if he was in the one in Eve's condition and she was the driver? Would you still blame your daughter for attempting to murder him?"

"I know my daughter." Mr Bloom fired back. He pointed a finger at Henry. "Your son is to be blamed for all this and I swear if anything happens to my child then I won't spare him."

The women were hopeless. Their husbands were beginning to blow off the roof.

Henry drifted backwards and slipped to a corner. He rested his aching back against the wall, folded his arms across his chest and pondered why Mr Bloom would blame him for Eve's condition when the cause of the accident was unknown to him.

He shifted his gaze from the blank wall to the men. They were still throwing words at each other while their hopeless wives were trying to
