Chapter Nine

“Should we get a room and spend the night together?” He said.

Ann was shocked to hear that from him,it was totally unexpected. She turned and looked at him straight in the eye as if she was expecting some sort of explanation from him. He noticed the look on her face and was quick to clear the misunderstanding.

“I didn't mean it that way, I don’t have any ulterior motives behind that sentence okay?” He said and she nodded.

“So what do you mean?” Ann asked

“I noticed you don’t look comfortable in that dress and that was what I said. You can get it dry cleaned here if you decide to stay the night. And that was what I was trying to say,nothing more.” He explained.

“Okay, that’s a good idea. You could have just said it that way instead of directly asking me to spend the night with you in a room.” Ann said.

“Can’t you spend the night with me?” He asked.
