Vireya's POV

We met the Alpha, a composed, striking man with an ethereal aura. His sling shimmered under the sun like woven starlight, and beside him sat his wife, radiating a beauty that felt almost otherworldly. They looked like they had stepped out of a forgotten legend.

“The pack welcomes these two strangers,” the shaman announced, her voice echoing softly. “They are both bound to a divine presence.”

“I am Zevarion,” he said, his voice smooth as dusk. “And this is my mate, Vireya.”

Zevarion and I bowed respectfully, and the Alpha offered a gentle nod.

“You are welcome among us,” he said, his tone warm and commanding all at once.

“May the light of the old magic guide your path,” the Alpha’s wife added with a graceful smile.

“Thank you,” we replied in unison, bowing again, touched by their sincerity.

“Will they be staying here?” the Alpha inquired, turning slightly to the shaman.

“Yes,” she answered. “For the journey ahead, it is wise they remain here for some time.”

“Then so be it

  • The Black Wolf    Epilogue: Reunion

Vireya's POV Six Years Later…“But I don’t want to go to school,” Zevaren frowned, his small fingers clutching the hem of my cloak. “Thalyn always comes to me.”Thalyn, Alpha Caran’s daughter, had been his constant shadow lately. I smiled, brushing a wind-tossed strand from his forehead as I knelt before him. His eyes, brilliant and blue like summer lightning, always reminded me of the one I lost, and yet, they were wholly his own. With my left hand, I gently held his, and with the other, I reached into my cloak and pulled out a wrapped honey-laced candy.“When she comes today, give this to her,” I said softly, placing it in his palm.He looked at it with reverence. “Okay,” he said with a solemn nod.“She just wants to be your friend,” I added, tracing my thumb over his knuckles. “Play with her. Be kind.”“Okay,” he echoed again, and then gave me that same crooked, boyish smile that used to tug at the corners of Zevarion’s lips.I pressed a kiss to his forehead and watched him walk i

  • The Black Wolf    Chapter 100: The Last Lightning

Vireya’s POV My heart shattered as I watched them fight, Zevarion, my light, standing tall against the monster who had torn our world apart. He was strong and fierce. Every move he made was threaded with divine power. But Xareth… Xareth was stronger. And I could see it, Zevarion knew. He was buying time for something.I looked toward him, desperate. There was no way I could retrieve the Soulspike now, not without taking it from his body. The thought of Zevarion dying made my soul quake. The idea of raising our child without him it was too cruel. Some of our warriors stormed in to aid him, their weapons drawn and eyes burning with courage. But with a flick of Xareth’s hand, they were cast aside like leaves in a storm, their bodies hitting stone with sickening thuds. Then the moon began to rise, slow and dreadful, high above the battlefield. And Xareth rose with it.He floated into the air, his body changing, stretching, warping. His true form bled through the seams of his disguise. No

  • The Black Wolf    Chapter 99: Fire And Blood

Zevarion’s POVAfter Vireya vanished beneath the blood moon's glare last night, panic rippled through the camp like wildfire. Warriors who once stood tall were now restless, their hearts seized by worry and dread.I gathered them, the truth a bitter stone in my mouth.“Xareth controls her with the Thorned Chain like we tried to explain the whole time,” I said. “He’s using her, everything she did, the attack on the Alphas, wasn’t her doing. She’s not our enemy.”A heavy silence followed, then nods. The weight of blame began to lift from their shoulders, replaced by something fiercer, resolve.“We need to march,” I continued, my voice steel. “Before he forces her to collect the final Heartstone. If that happens, he will become unstoppable.”“We should go now,” a warrior urged, already rising.I shook my head. “Not yet. We can’t storm the pack in daylight. We’ll move fast and camp just outside the borders. Evening we strike.”They agreed without hesitation. In a whirlwind of urgency, we

  • The Black Wolf    Chapter 98: Hell At The Castle Gates

Vireya's POV Eventually, the storm of chaos died down. The whirlwind of dust settled into silence, and I dared to open my eyes.He was staring at me.Not with the eyes I’d known before, but with something far more terrifying, his eyes blazed. Not metaphorically blazed. Flames danced in them, alive and cruel, licking at the edges of his pupils like he’d been set alight from within.“I underestimated you,” he said, chuckling darkly. And that laughter chilled my blood more than any scream could. He entered the cell and took the stone then before I could move, he lunged forward and grabbed me by the hair, his fingers yanking hard, snapping my neck back. I cried out, striking his arm, clawing at his grip, but it was like hitting stone. He dragged me through the corridor like a rag doll, my feet scraping against the floor.I barely had time to register the outside world before he threw me onto the steps in front of the castle doors. My body hit hard, my back knocking against the ground.A

  • The Black Wolf    Chapter 97: Cradle Of Fury

Vireya's POV “Why do you look so confused?” I asked, watching Xareth’s expression twist in subtle horror. “You should know by now this necklace…” I touched the cold metal at my collarbone, “...it’s just a piece of steel now. Its power is gone. Isn’t that why you had to wear Zevarion’s face to bring me here?”His brows furrowed, lips parting slightly. “That’s impossible. The thorned chain’s power is meant to grow with time.”I smiled thinly. “Yes, except something changed. I found a precious artifact, Xareth. The Mirrorheart Sigil crafted by Lioren herself.”The moment I spoke that name, something snapped in him. His face twisted, eyes burning with a hatred older than the wars he started.“That’s right,” I said, voice calm and steady. “I know everything. Your enmity with the gods. Your rebellion against the demons. Your bitterness toward the werewolves. I see through the you, Xareth.”He took a step back, as if the words burned his skin.“No,” he whispered.“Oh, please,” I scoffed, fo
