Ceremonial Dinner

Dinner began and we were all given the option of salad and soup to start before the main course. I chose the soup and requested more wine which I drank quickly causing Sophia to whisper in my ear as she poured me another glass, “A little slower my sweet girl.” I nodded at her then felt the glare of the High Priestess and Sophia quickly whisked herself away back to standing surrounding our table. There were all my lovely fellow priestesses standing around me as if they were statues while we all ate. I hated it and tried to imagine what it would be like if they could sit here with us too. They deserved it far more than I and especially the High Priestess did. These women had protected me more than I knew and were just as trapped.
