The Night

Nobody was found watching us but I knew we were all right there was something out there that wasn’t supposed to be. We had dinner with the family which was new to me but overall fairly normal except for the fact everyone was deadly quiet. Quiet because everyone knew there was something happening. The only one in the family who wasn’t quiet was Roe which was the best distraction any of us could have asked for. Roe happily enjoyed being the center of attention and enjoyed everyone listening to her stories even if our minds were distracted by the possibilities to come.

After dinner, the Alpha announced that Rogan and he needed to meet. Rogan gave me a quick kiss goodbye and promised to meet me in our room shortly. I had my doubts it would be short but it was alright I knew conversations needed to happen and I didn’t need to be involved in all of them. I went with Roe to look at her dolls in the large family room and the Luna followed. “Did your mother tell you about tea then?” I nodd
