LOGIN"My knees wobbled against the cold tiled floor, the magical silver chain digging into my wrists. I didn't cower at his gaze or at the fact that I was fucked, bound by the same man who held my mum hostage. "So, you're the little girl she gave her life to protect, huh?" His red eyes glazed with fire, laughter ringing out in the room before his gaze turned murderous. "Damn, girl... You never quit." Dexter exclaimed, lips stretched in a grin, and eyes glinting with admiration and fondness. As usual, our sword training had ended with my sword to his throat while I pressed him against a tree with a smug smile hanging on my lips. "Gotcha!" Dropping his sword to the ground, he raised both hands in resignation. "I have to admit, you did great. Just like every other day." Through my peripheral vision, I could see other pack members staring at us. The training ground was filled to the brim, as it was a Saturday. And each of them watched me defeat the Alpha in a sword fight. He was known to be the greatest swordsman throughout all the neighboring packs and beyond. I wanted to respect that. That was why I didn't want to come at him during public training. But his smug ass couldn't let go. "I warned you, Dex." My gloating began. "Now, look where smug ass got you." His eyes hovered over my body in that seductive, unnerving way that made me gulp. "That's because I let you win fair and square." Then he leaned forward and his hardness brushed against my crotch, making me gasp. "Next time, I might just use my charm." His face was teasingly close right now, his gaze hovering over my face, and finally resting on my lips. They parted without further ado. Then he claimed them, just like he normally did every time. My gasps soon turned into gasps with each nipping, suckling, and nibbling. My thighs pressed against him, seeking that hardness like it was my lifeline. And with each brush, my center dripped, soaking my panties. I was fully aware that half the pack was staring at us, but hell, I didn't care. And neither did Dexter. After all, I would be his Luna in a week. "Ahem!!" A sharp clearing of the throat made Dexter pause, his tongue halfway around mine. "Is this what the Alpha prince does with his training time?" I froze. That voice. Moon goddess, no! Just as Dexter disentangled our lips, I whirled around to make sure my imagination wasn't deceiving me. A low gasp escaped my lips as my gaze beheld the last person I had expected to see. Well, not like I wasn't expecting him to show up, but I was fervently praying he wouldn't. Damon had been gone for years, leaving the pack and the throne for Dexter. While Dexter hadn't been fully crowned because he had to hit twenty-five to be crowned the Alpha king, he was the older twin. That gave him an edge. Plus, he, my father, the reigning Beta alongside the supreme pack elder and other pack elders had been managing the affairs of the pack, waiting for the day he would fully mature to take over. With the absence of Damon— and no one having a clue where he disappeared to after their parents' death— it was obvious Dexter would be the Alpha king. But right now, who knew... Well, that was the least of my worries. I had to worry about the loud thudding of my heart at the sight of him, standing there all muscles and height as though he hadn't just wrecked my heart years ago. His gaze was on me, sharp, sizzling, and annoyingly hot. Then he smiled. "Hello Ora..." Heat seared through my veins like hot coals. He hadn't forgotten that nickname. My jaw clenched as I willed that girl who sprawled in front of his room, clutching her heart in tears when I learned he has left the pack right after I confessed my love for him. I wasn't about to let Damon Hawthorne, with his glacier jade green eyes, suck me right back where I had been before he left. Squaring my shoulders, I let my disdainful gaze trail up and down his broad, masculine as sin, Greek godlike frame. "Look what the cat dragged in." I tossed my honey blonde hair indifferently and buried my face into Dexter's chest. Speaking of Dexter, he hadn't said anything. He was just gawking at Damon as though he just emanated from a fashion magazine. Maybe he did. Because in those well-tailored black pants and black dress shirt whose top buttons were torturously undone, and shoulder-length raven-black black hair combed to the back, he looked like he was auditioning for a clothing brand. Not that he needed any auditioning; he already had the crown. Especially with that sharp jawline, upturned nose, and very tiny lips that looked every inch kissable. Damon was as hot as sin, but damn, was he heartless. His eyes had darkened as they held mine. But I knew what those jade green eyes could do, so I promptly looked away. "Hello, twin brother. Cat got your tongue?" He said, gesturing towards Dexter with his chin, like he had a right to be here. "Damon..." Dexter finally found his voice. And it came out surprisingly low. Wasn't he happy to see him? "What are you doing here?" My jaw dropped at that blunt question. Well, I had my answer. Dexter wasn't happy to see his twin brother, and he made that very clear. Damon, with his hands shoved in the pockets of his pants, didn't look like he cared. He merely shrugged. "Just here for the Luna howl. Not to make trouble." I snorted. "Like, trouble doesn't follow you everywhere." I was hella surprised to find out that I had said that out loud. Damn, girl! When I summoned up the courage to glance up at him, his gaze had turned sharper, ready to slice through me if given a chance. But I saw something else in those eyes. Something I didn't want to admit still existed. A hint of fondness that usually danced around his eyes at the sight of me. That fondness that strengthened me to bare my heart and soul to him that fateful night, but ended up getting humiliated. Well, never would I be deceived again. Faking a yawn, I tugged Dexter off the tree. "Come on, baby, let's go. I badly need a shower. Plus, the atmosphere just got polluted. I saw his jaw clench, and a triumphant smile graced my lips. "It's so good to see you, Ora." He muttered just as we were about to walk past him. Turning over my shoulder, I made sure I blessed him with the most disgusting gaze. "Well, that makes one of us, Damon.”~NORA~After hours of prowling through the pack's shopping malls and searching for the perfect dress, my feet were roasting. Plus, coming back to see that everything was put in place for the Luna howl: catering, arranging the sacred ground, and all.It was my night, and I didn't want to mess it up. Now standing in front of my vanity mirror, clad in the silver dress I had specifically picked. I loved the color. I didn't know why, but I just did. Something about it matches my ocean eyes, or should I say it beautifully contrasts them? Either way, the dress hugged my skin, the pearls cascading down the length of my knees. I let out a smug smile."Dexter would so love this." Just then, the door of my room was thrown open, and Hillary, my best friend, strutted in like the queen bee she was, already dressed in a blue dress that made her sapphire eyes pop. "Girl... you're really rocking that silver dress."I chuckled at her words, my cheeks flushing at her admiral gaze that trailed over
~DAMON~Relaxing in an easy chair stationed on the balcony of my room, I saw Nora walk out of her wing, walking towards the Bentley Hillary packed near the mansion entrance. Her steps were slow and graceful, her curves reminding me yet again that she was no longer that shy, slender senior-year girl who confessed her love for me.I was cradling a glass of bourbon in hand, my gaze fixed steadily on her."Oh, my goddess! Was that Damon I saw earlier..." One would think Hillary wasn't a werewolf with how loud she always was. It's like she conveniently forgot that she was standing right under my wing."Or the fact that werewolves have special hearing," I muttered, taking another sip of my drink, my gaze never leaving Nora. The way that silver dress hugged against her figure, riding a bit high on her thighs, heat surging down south.“Still obsessed with silver color, huh?” I muttered, adjusting in the easy chair I was sprawled on, feeling the instant bulge in between my legs. Damn...it's
~NORA~The slightly hot water cascaded down my naked body, sending warmth and steam soaking my skin, magically tending to those muscles that were cramped. I let out a contented sigh at finally being back from training. But then a soft hiss escaped my lips almost immediately when I recalled the event from a few hours ago.Who did he think he was to walk into this pack as if he owned it and disrupt its peace and serenity?I was perfectly content with thinking that he was dead somewhere. That way, those embarrassing years of me pining after him would be successfully burned. But who was I kidding? He just had to show up here, a day before my Luna crowning. All for what?My wolf, Narnia, was already on edge seeing him, and that made me more infuriated."Asshole." I fumed as my eyes snapped open.Without hesitation, I turned off the faucet, done enjoying the liquid strength. On a typical Saturday morning, I would be in my bed right now, after basking in my liquid therapy. But plans for to
~DAMON~I never knew I would show my face to this sorry ass pack again. Not after the mysterious way my parents died and the death threat that kept showing up on my doorstep afterward. Well, I ran for my dear life, and that was mostly because this pack had lost its flavor from the moment Mum and Dad took their last breath. But right now, standing in front of the pack's mansion, I questioned my decision. Was it wise to leave the comfort of my penthouse in New York to come face the dark memories of the past few years? I had no answer to that question. Only the moon goddess does. She kept appearing in my dreams for one week straight and in each of them, the message was crystal clear."Go home, Damon. Your duty awaits you. A unique bloodline to salvage. A bond to reignite."Till now, I couldn't get what that meant. All I understood was the last part— and the only bond coming to mind was Nora's. But how could I reignite a bond with my brother's fiancé?The thought of that sent bile lodgi
